Thanks Roxy. That is the whole problem in a nut shell. This needs to be vamped up again. Isn't it about time that the animals and the people won for a change???????????? ??????? I mean come on people, are you all actually going to let these people throw you a bone and you are going to go off someplace and chew on it? All that boasting about winning is nothing, if it all isn't corrected! So basicly nothing was won. Oh sure one guy out of how many got fired, Whoopty-Do.That doesn't mean nothing, if everyone that was involved in this atrocity doesn't get fired, arrested, and taken to court. People this is war. A war for humanity. And every time you all let yourselves be lulled into complaicentsy, you are letting the wrong side win. You need to regroup and get down to the nitty gritty with that Mayor. Lay it right on the table, be tough, be firm, but don't don't don't let them win. Remember the picture of thst poor starved puppy? Remember why everyone got fighting mad angry? What happen to that fighting mad anger? I'm curious. How could it just go away? Mine hasn't. Everyone of them need to be put out of their miserable misery, and if I had my way when animals die as a result of adbuse, they would get the death penalty. This kinda scum, to me, aren't even humane beings. Just desease walking around, and that desease needs to be arraticated permanently. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #70)

This is such a waist. What can we do to get this pumped up again? There must be something. Where are all those people that were demanding that Alexander get fired? Was that little morsal that was tossed to them, enough to appease them, so they would go quietly home and alow this nonsence to go unchecked? Come on people there was more than one rat in the wood pile. You are all going to quietly except this buisness as usual?So that dear little puppy and the other victims died for nothing, is that about the jest of it all? Well that is absord. Then the new Mayor needs to run a house to house check and issue notices to all pet owners, that can not supply valid vet papers, showing that their animals have been sprayed and or neutered or have an appointment to get it done.Then there should be a number for the ones that need it to call and make an appointment to have it done, also a pick up service to assist the ones that do not have transportaion to the appointment, plus assistance on the return of the pets to their homes. Also this should be cost effective to the people and the city. Thereby making it a city ordenance that any pets being adopted after that, it is a mandatory part of all adoptions. This would be fairly easy for the animal shelter to inforce and any private citizens would be required to register any and all birth. That they would be responsible to imform anyone adopting any of the animals from them of the ordinance. Kinda like the license for a fire arm.Something has to be done about the irresponsible.And the ones that refuse to comply, well the city will already have their names, addresses, phone #'s, and license plate #'s (if they show up in a car plus their drivers license or the one that brings them to pick up an animal. Their drivers lisence #. This would be the required form that all adoptive people would have to fill out. And if they don't have a drivers license, 3 pieces of IDs, ie birth certificate, utility bills showing home address, mail with address on it. That would be my plan if I were the mayor. What absolute shear insanity, Well the people in Memphis beter get the lead out and get a sit in going in front of the Mayors office and take and set up a schedual with people going to the shelter in streams untill these rejects are taken care of. If I were there, I'ld take a time slot.Surely as big as Memphis is, there would be plenty of people to keep that up, for quite a long time. Obiously they are trying to wait out the storm and hope that people will loose interest, then they can do what ever they want to do, you know buisness as usual. I hope the citizens of Memphis won't let this happen. Lets hope this guy that is in charge is an animal lover. James the child is a 2 year old, which means that the baby is not potty trained( more than likely) yet and there fore is going to have accidents. It is normal and most people expect this to happen untill the potty training is completed. Also this did not say whipped, it said Beat. There's a major difference between a spanking and a beating with a belt. This child will more than likely be so tramatized by his fathers brutal behavior, that he will more than likely take even longer to train. Thats a shame. If he acted like this because the child wet himself, God forbid what would have happened if he would have soiled himself. I don't even want to think about that. I hope this guy never gets a puppy : ( And a lot of us had fathers that were a little more than zellus when it came to punishment, and no it didn't kill me either but it didn't help either. Stuff like this can cause many unseen problems in a childs life, farther down the road, but the damage has already been done. (Friday Nov 13 | post #104)

Well I sent my email to the Mayor dtrssing that the responsible parties involved in these atrocities need to be fured, arrested and sent to prison for animal abuse like anyone else.That they are not above the law and all of us will be waiting and watching! That if these people are nor dealt with that the animal poving people aren't foing to except that. As well as in my eyes. I have been fighting against the mindless invaison of mutan humanes for a very long time. Along with 100's of 1000's of others. Its a long tiring battle and though there aren't often victories, there are some and with every victory it makes it worth it. So thank you, I see you are one of our wariors. You got that right. My landlady will only let me have the 5 cats I've got and that was only because I had them before they bought the property and I'm a good tenant. But the animal control made me stop feeding the strays, that was rediculous and my neighbor lied and said a cat had something so strong on its feet, that it ate through the paint on his truck. I said that was a lie. Anyone that knows cats, knows that if they get anything at all on them, they are going to stop right where they are and lick it off. Not walk 15 feet, jump up on a truck fender, and clean something off its feet.It was more than likely that something was thrown or spilt on the fender and the poor cat jumped up on it. They were just using that as an excuse to catch the poor things and kill them. I called the shelter and asked what happen to the cats no response or to my email.Needless to say I wouldn't pull that **** h*** out of a mud hole if his life depended on it. And I told the animal control guy that there were to many **** h***'s around there. He just laughed. My hands are tied as the police department took over the animal shelter here. Gab, thank you for the link imfo. I did check it out and to be honest the idea of the casualties of any harvest did not occure to me. I thank you for bringing it to my attention. Unfortunately there are few options left, as everything that is food requires some type of harvest. I will just have to curtail my food intake down more. At the moment my diet consist of cheese sandwiches with mustard, roman noodles,black coffee, and an occassional cake. I'll see what I can do. Thanks again, be safe. (Thursday Nov 12 | post #698)

Its this kind of inhumane behavior that makes people not take animals to shelters. I know with this one here, the animal have a beter chance of survival if thay take their chances running loose. True its more dangerous but with shelters, their fate is sealed with in a certain time frame, if they aren't adopted. Its sure a sorry state of afairs, the so called humanity.
