Palin stands her ground in VP debate with Biden
I agree 100% with you Joe. I asked my husband "is she really actually winking?". Unprofesional seems to be the best way to describe her in general. The whole "I'm downhome and one of you" act is getting a little bit tiring and really isn't that credible. I seriously doubt that she has ever "sat around the table and wondered how I'm gonna afford health care?". I was especially irritated by the way that she refused to answer the questions put to her and instead either repeated McCains stance on issues or went back to Alaska and Energy. Her lack of experience really showed, and didn't give anyone a clear picture of what HER views were. (Friday Oct 3 | post #18)
Feisty Palin stands her ground in Biden debate
Well I guess if I was entering a debate I wasn't ready for I would go the same route, but I'm not running for VP. I wouldn't run for such an important position without the experience necessary. I was just commenting that she seemed unprepared for the debate and just not qualified for the position she's running for. (Friday Oct 3 | post #23)
Feisty Palin stands her ground in Biden debate
I think she showed her lack of experience. She also showed that she relies upon being really folksy and cute and "one of us", and really I'm not feeling it. I think she didn't address many issues put to her but kept strictly to what she knew, which turned out to be not much. She spoke hardly at all about her stance on things and only parroted John McCains views. What happens if there's no John, and now she's gotta run things? I'm sure she runs her state well, however it's gonna take a lot more experience than she was able to show tonight to run the rest of them as well. (Thursday Oct 2 | post #16)

Father drops off 9 kids under Neb. safe haven law
I'm certainly not a pro lifer, however my husband(now)didn't want me to have the baby we made together, in consensual union, well aware I wasn't on birth control. Surprise I got pregnant! We had been together for 3 years at this point. I was simply unable to make the choice to abort my now very beautiful and well taken care of daughter. I explained to him I was unable to do so and was going to make the choice to mark father unknown and take care of her myself. He has since changed his mind and has come around, which has nothing to do with my point. My point is Dissident the only thing you fail to address is it is also the woman's responsibility to deal with the medical and emotional dealings of having an abortion. Both parties are responsible for the pregnancy occurring but it is an easy thing for the male half to say hey, "have an abortion" and walk away. It is the woman who then has to go through the painful procedure, and the emotional pain of aborting a child. I realize there certainly are exceptions however most of us are conditioned to care about the baby as soon as we find out we have conceived. For some it's an impossible choice to make. Mother of battered 7-year-old NY girl on trial
Matter of Fact, I understand you've been through a lot with your ex and your children but how much woman bashing are the rest of us supposed to put up with? "3-4 times more likely to abuse"? Where are your statistics coming from? "CPS workers are usually women and are able to live with this while collecting large paychecks and benefits, on the taxpayers dole."?! Man you need to get over your woman hating tendencies. It's showing up bad! I've come across a couple of your other postings and the same thing comes through in those. You tend to lose any point your making because it's hard to get past the bitterness. (Thursday Sep 25 | post #49)

Mother of battered 7-year-old NY girl on trial
Well I'll start with saying I'm sorry about the situation you've gone through. My reply was written somewhat tongue in cheek. I was just making the point that you were making assumptions about people you don't know. I was simply doing the same. I do think however it is somewhat unreasonable to paint all women with the same brush as your ex. Sorry to sound so argumentative, however you are making statements that seem calculated to offend. I am a married mother of 2, but my sister is a single mother trying very hard to support her son, and be a good parent for him. I watch her struggle and admire her for her strength. The woman in this article seems to be the exception rather than the rule, and can hardly be considered a standard example of single mothers. Good luck with your children and their mother. Retired highway partol officer dies on road he once patrolled
Well, congratulations for passing on your chance to display some compassion. Even if you disagree with her about the respect issue why would you feel the need to argue with a grieving relative. Try to be a bigger person and maybe try a little kindness. How important is it to be right anyway? Geez! (Monday Sep 22 | post #9)
Mother of battered 7-year-old NY girl on trial
Hmmm, sounds like someone is one of those couldn't really cut it as a father, and lost his kids to the more responsible parent? Now he blames her for it and brings up all of her faults to try and measure up? Please accept my apologies if I'm wrong, it's just that you sound so....ummm bitter towards women in general. You reminded me of my ex brother in law. Ah well, I would hate to pass a blanket judgement on someone though, just based on a short posting from them.... (Monday Sep 22 | post #21)
Oroville team's win means unicorn tattoo for coach
I actually doubt he will regret it. I coached a softball team a few years ago and still say hi to all my girls that were on it as I see em around town. It was a really fun time and I will always remember those girls. Maybe he's looking at it in that spirit. If he has a child on that team maybe it's also a reminder of them. Not saying I would do or it's for everyone but if you like to get tatoo's...? I thought it was kind of a cute story and written in a positive note. Calling him white trash and assuming he would regret it just seems pretty negative without much cause. (Friday Sep 19 | post #3)
