Slippery roads possibly caused rollover

Letter: 'Sexting' can have dire ramifications

I agree. It takes a lot of guts to write this letter and admit that your kid was doing it in order to warn other parents. What a great example of mature and responsible parenting.  (Yesterday | post #5)

Added ticket fee will go to improving Chico airport

Stephens, I have to thank you for the entertainment I get from reading your posts. Really it's hilarious. Do you even use the airport at all, much less regularly to complain about the use rate? I would think that the people who use it regularly would be happy to pay a small price for the improved services.  (Thursday | post #12)

Helicopter drill gives rescuers valuable practice

Wow, it's amazing that some people can find anything to complain about. I's funny(in sort of a sad way) because these would be the same people who would be bitc...whoops complaining about how long their rescue took and how untrained the staff were, if they ever were ina position to be in need of rescue.  (Sunday Oct 18 | post #6)

Las Plumas instructor accused of sex with 16-year-old student

Why are you deliberately ignoring the point of my posts? That is the males responsibility to obey what they know to be the law. If a speeder is speeding and he gets a ticket who's fault is it? What if he is being egged on by another driver, is he then no longer breaking the law.....? Then who's fault is it? I already addressed my views on the age of consent. I also freely conceded that I engaged in underage sex. The difference of course being that I am mature enough to now look back and realize how foolish I was equating sexual attention with love at that young age. I've since moved on from those experiences and gotten over them, looks like your still working on that. Anyway...bitter much, are you related to him or something? I was attempting a reasonable discussion but you got all rabid and "you people". I was agreeing with some of your points but then you got immature and stopped making sense. BTW, how old are you? I hate to break it to you, but you sound like a young girl justifying her choices or an older lady who never grew up. Pretending sophistication doesn't then make you sophisticated, Dear. Anyway, there is no sense in furthering this discussion with you when all you do is keep repeating your weak and quite immoral, same old arguments. Did you really call me a tool, haha?! That actually really got a chuckle outta me. While you were having that affair with the married man(at what was it 14 or 16?), I'm so very, very glad that what you got out of it was to make sure and use birth control so you didn't get pregnant. Lets hope you kept up with that.  (Thursday Oct 15 | post #401)

Las Plumas instructor accused of sex with 16-year-old student

Wow, way to blast with the sarcasm! You might be surprised about my view of the world. Only a few things are black and white for me and this case seeems to be one of those. Anyway... I wasn't arguing those points. Of course older men will look at younger girls, the point I was making is that it doesn't matter if they look, it's illegal to touch. As an adult it is their responsibility to say no, whatever the temptation. I understand in the past(your generation, btw I'm 33)girls consented and got pregnant and married earlier. However I have to wonder how much of that was young girls mistaking sexual attention for love. I also understand that the age of consent is lower in some other places but for the majority of rational thinking folks, 16 is still unacceptable. Your not helping your viewpoint much by pointing out that at 14 you "fell in love" with a much older married man, much like the girl in this story. Perhaps it's hitting a bit close to home. Also the random marriage quote seems rather... well random. My daughter is soon to be 14 and I wish for a long, happy childhood for her. I would hope that she would have better goals for herself than a 41 yr old married man. Also I've taught her strong morals and breaking marriage bonds is just wrong. Heres to hoping those lessons stick!  (Tuesday Oct 13 | post #396)

Las Plumas instructor accused of sex with 16-year-old student

I remember being a teenager. I was also looking for attention and thought sex was the way to get it. I understand that viewpoint and am not arguing it,however a grown man has the responsibility to say no. Whatever the temptation, he should be the responsible(and married)adult and walk away. Additionally as a teacher he should never have been in a poition for the temptation,or opportunity, to even occur.  (Friday Oct 9 | post #386)

Median shoulder pass ends in crash, serious injuries

The article states they were going 70. The speed limit there is only 65 if even that, I can't remember if it's 65 or 55. I admit to speeding sometimes, but I can't complain if the car ahead of me is only going 5 over.  (Thursday Oct 8 | post #22)
