Thought I'd take a break to do something different and make a post in Topix... Do a "Dave Ramsey" type approach which means "You can't spend more than you make". 1. Fix the Medicare fraud problems first! 2. Fix the frivolous lawsuits (Tort Reform). 3. Allow private insurance to compete across state lines. THEN (after it's proven that reform can be paid partially by Medicare fraud savings and private insurance cost have lowered)... START crunching the numbers and see where we stand and what improvements and/or changes are still needed and affordable! We don't need to do everything at once and right now! Take a logical stepped approach (I know that's hard for government) and not change the whole system at once while paying for and balancing the books on nothing but hope, wishful thinking and creative accounting to make promises they either know they can't keep or at best clueless if they can. You may have a very long wait~ Maybe you've not had a hard enough life to visit hell close-up, personal and then fortunate to return completely amazed. Beware, the proof you seek may come with a high price tag. The proof you seek is everywhere all around you, much easier to open your mind to see it. I believe each person has his own path and destiny. Also, everything happens for a reason which can not be fully comprehended till the end. Amy - "I do not need a denomination to tell me my fate...." Well...If I cut through all the legal brew-ha-ha correctly then - (1) that the defendant caused (insert victim's name) death, and (2) that the defendant did so recklessly, and (3) that the defendant did so under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to human life. 1. Not in question. 2. Definitely - See #3 3. She was high on Crack, speeding, evading arrest....
