Will The Seymour Herald go out of business in '08?
I'm not even from Seymour, Yet i have done alot of work for Joe on a business level. And he and his family are nice and up front people. Now, I'm thinking this is a case of "Just Because". Why i say this, I feel people only feel this way because he is the person that owns the paper. Reason i say this is simple, Here in Morristown the Citizen Tribune is owned by a person that Topix is ALWAYS filled with discredits, bad mouthing, and hatred towards the Paper owner. Now i know that Seymour is a smaller town, So im sure that's why alot of the topics here are about bad mouthing a paper. I mean what else would one bad mouth, Not like gas prices are thru the roof, Or even the fact that we have been at war for like ever now. You know the "good" topics that one could discuss. Frankly it isn't any of my business, But i disagree with the personal things said about Joe and his family. First off, Whose business is it to browse his Personal life? Not yours or mine. What happened years ago is his business, So like everyone's grandma's use to say about the cookie jar, STAY OUT OF IT! You can flame me all day long, i find it funny and it makes my day that people could and will spend 20 minutes talking about me. So change the subject and flame me for a little bit. Ill be checking this just to see who can and will take me up on it ;) Oh, And Morristown Topix is boring, So yeah I'm here for now. (Aug 8, 2008 | post #36)
Worster Josiah Leming has more and more to smile about these days. Knoxnews.com reports that Josiah recently signed a major record deal with Warner Brothers Records. He also has a lawyer and agent who made sure the deal was good to go. We're glad to hear it. Congrats to Josiah for being one of the only contestants who didn't crack the finals to receive a major record deal. This is big for him, and we couldn't be happier. VFTW victory! I have to agree, I dislike charter. I have had them for over 11 years and for the last 2 years my bill runs around $240 a month. And somehow my bill was $511 this past month. How? They dont know either, But assured me i HAD to pay lol.. So i paid, And i am cutting my service down to nothing. MUS is suppose to be moving out this way, Man ole Man i sure hope so!!! For those with Verizon Cell Phones, They offer Broad Band, And its said to work all over morristown. Yes, Calling the St Louis and speaking to the Escalation's Dept works wonders, They can override anyone elses account changes without prior approval. (May 13, 2008 | post #12)

I just got word that Harrison Ford is moving to Morristown. On the far west end of town, The road up by Inglez that HUGE house, Is his!! I have gotten this from a very resourceful place. How cool is that? A Legendary Actor and his wife a great TV show Actress moving to this small town!! Reason they are moving is seem's her parents live here already and they want to be close to them. normally i dont mess with this type of hearsay but when i hear it from this source its almost 100% true. Why is Joe Gipson running unapposed for Schoolboard?
East Ridge is one of the better schools in this county. Not because of the "rich" kids but because the teachers seem to care more than others, Reason i say this is, I had a 12 year old Nephew that was going to Meadowview, And he moved in with my family which moved him to East Ridge, At meadowview he was making mid C's, high d's and 1 or 2 F's, At East Ridge he is on the A-B Honor roll. He comes home telling me answers to stuff i never would have thought of. He is overall 100 times happier at East Ridge than he ever was at Meadow View.. So in light of this subject, If i was moving my kid from Meadowview to East Ridge it would be because of the "education differences" the kids learn there. This is just my opinion. (And East Ridge is in the top 10% of highest scores of the TCAPS, SATs in Tennessee). (May 1, 2008 | post #23)

This is a free for all poll. You post your opinions, I want to know how everyone else feels, I personally would like Clinton in there. I think a woman could help us out of this crazy time we are in. And with Bill backing her, We cant go wrong, When he was in office, He reduced the national debt by over 63%. And bush has increased it by more than 74% What gives? Why can 1 man reduce it that much and another cause it to skyrocket? We all know Bush and his family are all Oil Tycoons, But come on, The poor folks wasn't born with a gold spoon in our mouth. Im spending more than 110 bucks a week in gas, I cant do it no more, Im hunting a good 4 cycle car now. Clinton is bringing, Government partial paid insurance, She is doing away with the US Trade Agreement (whatever its called) and start penalizing(sp?) companies that depend on cross sea's for their goods. But you want to know the worse problem about kids like this? The Youth Emergency Shelter loses all its funding from the state, because the Director of DCS feels ALL kids should be placed in Foster Care right away! Does Morristown need a local clean dance club?
I will personally make sure we keep out the rough crowds. I will hire the best security team from a list of people i have gotten from knoxville. I will assure this to be a very clean and very fun place. We will have cameras monitoring everything inside and outside. We will have a no contact rule, You touch someone one time your out and you wont be back, ID's will be checked at the door no exceptions. Any staff not doing so will be let go on the stop. I am 100% towards making sure this stays clean and fun. As for teens weekends, There will be extra staff on duty and we will make sure everyone stays safe. Noone will be allowed to stay out in the parking lot. If someone starts a fight or assaults someone they WILL go to jail and be barred for life. Im open to all other ideas and information we could use. Thanks to all those that have voted in our poll and all the feedback we have gotten. We are hoping the dance club to be open mid to late April. First of May at the latest. Location details and information will be posted here once it is set. (Feb 28, 2008 | post #20)
Well, I think they should be legal before being able to apply for Government assistance. This hurts the real American's from getting services which we pay taxes for. Suppose this is why the US is around 40 Billion dollars in debit in the Social Services area. I have never had the need for these services but some people aren't so lucky. But if i ever did i wouldn't even bother knowing that we have a higher criteria to be accepted than someone that isnt legal. Just my point of view.
