I really liked the Ark preschool (not religious even though the name suggests it) sister school to storyland..at least it was 6 1/2 years ago. It was quite a balanced program and my daughter was more than prepared for kindergarten. I spent time teaching her at home as well though, but it seems that all the children did really well coming from that school. All of the teachers were awesome and friendly and the director Donna (at the time) also the owner were all wonderful. I actually liked it better than storyland, but just my opinion. To be fair the two things I didn't care for at the school were, the open bathroom (might be changed now) and it seemed like the lights were too dim. However, that didn't affect my daughters education. (Wednesday Nov 11 | post #4)
Some Manteca Classes Have More than 40 Kids
I'm from Livermore and my daughter attends a Charter School. I couldn't ask for a better school. The class sizes as of yet, are 20 she's been there for five years. The school, teachers and parents haven't lowered it's standards it's actually found room to improve the education and it was wonderful to begin with. I'm only on this forum to check information where my nieces and nephews live so I can keep up with what they are experiencing in their town. Our school wouldn't dream of cramming 40 children into a classroom let alone with one teacher. (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #5)

So how did this very beautiful world..until we as the human race started destroying it, come about?? What about us with all our complex working parts and organs and animals and everything else get here? An explosion???? That is one creative explosion to provide all this beauty and all the intricate workings of just the human system alone was that thought out by a big bang??? Please... talk about people not thinking for themselves. I'll pray to my God that you will one day see the light. If you don't believe fine, but I rather error on the side that will save you if I'm right then error on the side that will just leave you dead and burried in the ground if I'm wrong. My children went to Bayside. I thought it was great at first. Then, one was diagnosed with asthma and I dissagreed got another opinion from another two doctors at Bayside and they said she didn't have asthma, and she doesn't. Also, my oldest went in had strep throat and was really sick. One of thier doctors decided to give her a flu shot, I was in the car...she was 18 at the time. She got extremly sick and even one of their own said she shouldn't have been given a flu shot during the time that she was already sick. So Bayside is questionable. Although, I work in a daycare and many of the children go to Bayside and the parents seem very pleased with it. I've had too much happen there myself to be giving it credit. (Oct 15, 2009 | post #6)
Santa Rita Jail Inmate Dies in Custody
Jacob, I'm reading your comment and you have a deep understanding of what can cause people to do the things they do. I also read the hurt that you feel. Maybe when you get older you can study psychology and sociology and help these people to realize that the background that they come from doesn't necessarily dictate who they are or who they have to be. Believe it or not you can change what you become it doesn't have to become the norm, just because greatgranddad, granddad and dad were stealing, or gangsters, or criminals of any kind. This doesn't mean that that has to be who you and your future son become. With counciling, positive actions etc. you can become something else. You don't have to go to jail if that is not what you choose for yourself. Jacob, just make sure you get a good education, work hard and help others. If it looks and sounds like trouble it is, stay away from it and go do something positive ask for help if you have to. Good luck to you and your family. (Oct 10, 2009 | post #292)
Santa Rita Jail Inmate Dies in Custody
I will continue to pray for you and your family. I'm so sorry that your dad has died. You make sure that you move on and be productive and keep your dad in your heart and mind at all times. He will be very proud if you keep yourself out of jail and maybe even volunteer for a charity that helps kids who have parents in jail. God bless you and your family!! (Oct 10, 2009 | post #291)

No need to be rude. I understood everything they said. A few misspellings and needed punctuation, BIG DEAL. Get over yourself. This person is hurting, irregardless of grammar. (Oct 10, 2009 | post #290)

Not in agreement or disagreement. But, you should re-read that post. They didn't say everyone was innocent. (Oct 10, 2009 | post #289)
It's because that is where your service is from. I had the same problem..if you experiment a little you can figure out how to change it to say your town. I'm sorry you have that problem. Maybe, if you call the police station and ask to talk to the Sargent or something, maybe he can crack down on his guys. (Oct 10, 2009 | post #5)
anyone heard the rumor that PW Market on Vasco is closing?
Livermore is just Livermore. It's a make up of all people, of all races, all religions, of all economic status. We have money, but why spend more than you have too on food. It's something you'll enjoy for five minutes not five years. Sure you can bring up the fact of chemicals in foods, organic is better etc. But, it boils down to watching what you eat and taking care of your body. Stores other than Trader Joes can provide quality food that is good for you AND you don't have to spend extra to get it. The people in Ruby Hills people don't seem to be as upity as your making yourself out to be. If your not stuck up, maybe you should reconsider how you phrase things. Just a thought. I myself shop at dollar stores and discount markets. I'm clean, we drive nice vehicles, go to church, have a job, don't drink or smoke or do drugs, don't litter and can't stand when people do. I've raised my children with all of the same values. You wouldn't be able to tell if I was from your area of town or not. So why the issue? There are many other people that have respect for property and they do drink, smoke and do drugs, or drive nice cars and don't go to church. So what is the diffrence between you, me and them???? It's the property that you are concerned with I assume? Maybe, I shouldn't make that assumption and let you respond instead. So let me ask you to please respond because my couriosity is getting the best of me. (Oct 10, 2009 | post #23)

Pot plants found with dead body cargo in Dublin traffic stop
Actually, I wish that they would ban all of it. It's all discusting and habit forming. As a former junk food junkie, I wish they'd ban junk food as well....if they only could. (Oct 3, 2009 | post #17)
