BTW, speaking of accountability, please explain why the liberal left is constantly conducting personal attacks on Sarah Palin and her entire family, including her mentally handicapped son, when obamao said he wants his family off limits and the media has complied in a bootlicking manner? Vicious personal attacks, intimidation and/or lawsuits against any and all dissenters of the left, including the young and handicapped, seems to be a standard procedure for the "tolerant " left. There IS an artificial time limit for many criminal activities, it is called a Statute of Limitations. Just like typical liberals, unwilling to accept responsibility for their own actions. It is always someone else's fault, "Society made me do it", "I wasn't given the chance when I was growing up", "He's not a terrorist, Vietnam made him do it (William Ayers)", "He's not a racist, society made him that way (Wright)", "It's all Bush's fault"! Blaming others for their own stupidity is the liberal way. Personal responsibility is an evil concept for most liberals. The liberals can whine, cry, and tell each other how wonderful they are and how horrible everyone else is as much as they want to, but the American People are quickly wising up to obamao's liberal agenda. The day when he has no choice but to accept responsibility for his own actions is quickly approaching. BTW, it is very interesting that during those 8 years of Pres. Bush's time in office, 6 of those years had unprecedented financial growth and prosperity. It wasn't until the dumocrats took control of Capitol Hill two years before the end of Pres. There is no set date for their self-righteous sanctimonious agenda. It is happening a little at a time. Kind of like if a frog is put in a pot of boiling water it will jump out, if you put a frog in a pot of water and then slowly turn up the heat, the frog will sit there until it boils to death. If the liberals tried to enact all of their crazy schemes all at the same time people would be outraged and see them for the idiots that they are. If they do it a little at a time there will still be outrage but people will get used to it. You're absolutely right about liberals hating timelines and facts. They are, for the most part, dependent on insults, emotional outbursts, and junk science to forward their agendas. But their total inability to accept responsibility for any of their own actions is their greatest strength and weakness. What I'd like to know is when does obamao officially become president? When will he finally take responsibility for any of his actions? How long does he think he can blame others for his own ineptitude and inexperience? The dumocrat's Boogy Man (PRES. Bush) has been out of office for nearly a year and the dumocrats are still blaming him for all of their stupid moves. I guess obamao is not really the president, PRES. Bush still has all the power. TUCO, You are somewhat right about the interstate travel but I do not see any politicians trying to prohibit cars in one state or another because of drunk drivers killing people with two ton weapons. Yes, I have heard of the Luby's killings. Let's look at the consequences of that event. Reacting to the massacre, in 1995 the Texas Legislature passed a shall-issue gun law, which requires that all qualifying applicants be issued a Concealed Handgun License (Texas's required permit to carry concealed weapons), removing the personal discretion of the issuing authority to deny such licenses. The law had been campaigned for by Suzanna Hupp, who was present at the Luby's massacre where both of her parents were shot and killed. Hupp later expressed sadness for abiding by the law in question by leaving her firearm in her car rather than keeping it on her person. Hupp testified across the country in support of concealed-handgun laws, and was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1996. The law was signed by then-Governor George W. Bush and became part of a broad movement to allow U.S. citizens to carry concealed firearms. That was pretty funny about the smaller officers joke. No, I am not advocating for smaller officers. More officers would be nice but there would still never be enough police to go around. I respect the police for the job that they do. The police are really good at cleaning up the mess after a crime, but have a much poorer record of stopping the crimes while they are occurring. (Monday Nov 23 | post #33825)
CCW is actually a fundamental right that has been licensed. The RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED! History shows that there was less crime when citizens were allowed to openly carry firearms and were allowed the RIGHT to self-defense. I would like one of the anti-gun liberals out there to explain why every multiple victim shootings in the US (more than 3 victims) has occurred in a "gun-free zone". Why do those maniacs choose gun-free zones for their shooting rampages instead of gun shows? They want easy victims that do not have the capability to defend themselves during the crime. I totally agree. It is a sad thing when the liberals are more concerned with the rights of the criminal than they are with the rights of the victim. I have 20+ years of military training and multiple combat deployments behind me, so far. I have a CCW (Concealed Carry permit) so that I can defend my family and myself from human predators. I have never had to use it, thank goodness, but I am ready if it ever happens. Predators do not like prey that fights back. "I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy." I'm a Constitutionalist myself. There are things with both parties that I do not agree with but turning America into a socialist welfare state is definitely against my beliefs. Insulting the GOP doesn't bother me so good try. But perhaps you should be more concerned with the Independents rather than the Republicans, they're bailing off the obamao koolaid stand like there's no tomorrow. The left's election winning voter base is abandoning the left now that their true radical agenda is coming to light. The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. The best way to stay out of trouble is to stay out of situations that could potentially get you in trouble. The most I've had is a couple of speeding tickets as a teenager and, YES, I do judge others as I wish to be judged. I do not try to blame society, or my parents, or whoever. What delayed outrage? I don't believe that I writing on these posts until around late 2008. That is a long time after 9/11, but I forget that liberals typically ignore or change history to better suit their agenda. The only insults, emotional outbursts, and rage I see is coming from the left. I state well documented facts while liberal socialists foam at the mouth. Try facts, not insults and emotion. If you try to think of muslims, or other Asian cultures, in a "Western " style of thinking you will always lose. It may not be "PC" of me but they do not think like Westerners think. For the most part, that kind of culture would rather have a strong cruel leader than a kind weak leader. Respect is of paramount importance and if they do not respect you (fear you) they will attack you at the first sign of weakness. Aggression must be met with swift blinding violence. Anything less than an aggressive response, and we would be fighting the terrorists and insurgents here at home, instead of in their own yard. "Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else.
