Roethlisberger signs 8-year extension

2-TIME Superbowl winner a bust? Surely you jest. Your team and QB must be really great if Roethlisberger is a bust.  (Friday | post #22)

Santonio Holmes: Ben Roethlisberger may have been out of sync, ...

Much ado about nothing, Holmes was just saying it from the WR perspective, I doubt it was meant as a jab at Ben. I saw the interviews on PST, Ward basically said the same but added that their needs to be more balance. 13 carries for Mendenhall and 18 total runs is not enough (with one being a scramble). There was no real threat of a run in the 2nd half and the Bengals were able to just sit back and keep the passes infront of them. A guy like Mendenhall and even Parker for that matter, may have a low average for a bit, but they are always prone to breaking a big gainer  (Thursday Nov 19 | post #4)

Steelers drop AFC North showdown to Bengals

I wouldn't quite quantify it as that. Close game, good game, hats off to them...but they didn't runover Pittsburgh.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #10)

Tomlin knows what the Steelers need

Yep...Mendenhall had 6 carries in the first half. That is not enough to establish the running game. There at least has be a threat of a run, so while Ben was way off, the Bengal D was able to just sit back and react to the routes.  (Wednesday Nov 18 | post #4409)

Ravens, Steelers getting ready to play the feud

I am certainly no Coach Hoodie fan, nor do I like the Patriots, but I really can't disagree with the call. To win the game, you want the ball in your best players' hands (in this case Brady). I didn't necessarily like the play call, but if they get a few yards...ball game. I would have rolled Brady to the right with Welker going about 5 yards out and then have Moss going deeper (10 to 15) and tried to hit Welker...  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #1497)

I didn't like the offensive game plan, we really didn't do anything. Not saying we need to be creative and start pulling tricks...but we moved away from the run way to early. Mendenhall has the capability to break one at any given point...it seemed like the game plan was too pass-happy. How bout some screens, play-action, a draw here and there. The last series, 2 mins to go, a chance to drive for the win and we pull out basically 4 medium to long passes (all incomplete).  (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #4396)

Steelers drop AFC North showdown to Bengals

I haven't been quiet, nor have a been whining. Nor did i boast about anything going into the game. It was a close game as predicted, although if you would have said neither club would score an offensive TD, I wouldn't have believed you. Congrats on your victory it was a big one for your franchise. Remember there are 7 regular season games remaining, a lot can change.  (Monday Nov 16 | post #4)

Should be a good game, what I like is we didn't have Mendenhall in there the last time, and Mike Wallace is hitting a stride. The DB's will be watching Ward and Holmes a lot, so Wallace and then Heath Miller should find the soft spots. We are still stout against the run and I think we can contain Benson even without Smith and potentially Timmons.  (Friday Nov 13 | post #4)
