Broncos lose to Steelers 28-10 - KDVR

While I agree with much of what you say or at least I have expressed those sentiments about advertising...why post this on a football related string? The comment was brought to you by Geico. Save 15% or more on car insurance.  (5 hrs ago | post #11)

Ravens, Steelers getting ready to play the feud

Agreed. Plus, I never understand why a school/team announces basically a 'head coach in waiting.' It sends mixed messages to the current players and potential recruits. The offense has been far worse this year, when many thought it should have been better (even without Heyward-Bey), given Turner was in the system a full year and the emergence of DaRel Scott and Meggett.  (5 hrs ago | post #1475)

Tomlin won't discuss released Larry Johnson

Why would Coach Tomlin discuss Larry Johnson? Its a non-issue. The Steelers do not need him. First off, we have a good crop of RB's with Mendenhall establishing himself, Mewelde in the 3rd down role. And as much as "Tentative " Willie Parker irritates me, when healthy he's not a bad back up in the least. Plus we have a reliable Carey Davis if we need him in an emergency role, and guys like Redman on the practice squad. Secondly, we don't need a head-case. Throughout the Noll-Cowher-Tomlin era, the "Me Me" guys tend to quickly find their way out of Pittsburgh. Third, if he were to come here...who does he take carries from? I certainly don't want to see Mendenhall and Moore lose a few carries a game so a disgruntled 'has-been' can get 3 carries in a game. Its a non-issue. Tomlin doesn't need to discuss it.  (7 hrs ago | post #3)

Well...they can't do any worse than the football team. That is for sure.  (8 hrs ago | post #1473)

Open Letter to Steelers Kicker Jeff Reed: It's TACKLE Football

Ratliff has been quite a dissapointment IMO. I was expecting much more from him since we acquired him, and would almost wonder if we'd been better off with Keenan Lewis or Burnett in there if they are available. Madison was a gamer, much like Chidi Iwouma...a special teams demon.  (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #8)

Steelers beat mistake-prone Favre, Vikings 27-17

Your team needs to overcome these issues. Bad calls, like injuries occur throughout the course of the game. It happens. Move on.  (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #77)

Exactly... Plus...Willie Parker ran 75 yards for a TD. Does anyone in Seattle know how to tackle? In addition, we ran the roll reverse to Randle El, who passed it to Ward. Does Seattle know how to study game film? We ran it two weeks prior to that, surely it would be shown again. It only had three variations: Randle El pass, Randle El run, Randle El pitch back to Ben. Furthermore, Seattle dropped how many balls? Quite a few. At some point you just need to man-up.  (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #76)

I hope so...for whatever reason, Mile High has been a house of horrors for my boys (aside from the 05 AFC championship game). B-more certainly exposed Denver...I didn't think they were above everyone else at 6-0, still decent, but I wasn't ready to 'crown them.'  (Monday Nov 2 | post #1447)

Ravens, Steelers getting ready to play the feud

I was hoping it would be a good game to scout Denver...but Baltimore pretty much dominated from the opening play. Moreno/Marshall/Or ton were very quiet...  (Monday Nov 2 | post #1437)

Yeah, they looked much better. I wasn't going to count out Baltimore...a lot of NFL Countdown (ESPN) guys did in the AM. I was thinking...its going to come down to Pitt and Balt, no questions asked. I think it was Tom Jackson and Steve Young I believe, who said Baltimore was done and wouldn't beat Denver....  (Monday Nov 2 | post #1436)
