Okay, as long as we're all just being silly here I have to share an email my sister sent. Of course it would make more sense coming from a man but I found it hilarious just the same. I can laugh at myself as a woman and the perception as such. Here goes, " One day, a long, long time ago, there was a woman who did not bitch, nag or whine. But it was a long time ago, and it was just the one day." Okay, silly I know. For some reason I had to LOL.  (Monday Dec 21 | post #35487)

Good advice. Animals can have many food sensitivities just as we do. I know you know about food sensitivities, Pokay.  (Monday Dec 21 | post #35486)

Way better than canola. Such an awful oil. It will be discovered to be as bad as margerine, the once touted "better than butter" spread. Mark my words. Canola from the rapeseed is another one of Monsanto's favorites. Even organic canola is not good. Just like an organic twinkie still wouldn't be "good" for you. Tuna oil would be a viable source of good oil for kitty. Being in the industry I'm in a forget that not everyone is as informed as I am lucky to be. Of course pet food is one of the products I buy for the store. When the recall came last year (or was it earlier this year?) nothing I had on the shelf had to be recalled because none of it had ingredients from China. Nor did it have rendered meat from animals that had been euthanized as some commercial products do.  (Monday Dec 21 | post #35485)

A tablespoon of any Omega oil will do. Flax, fish. Cod liver oil is perfect. Just drizzle a little on top of dry or mix in with a spoonful of wet food.  (Sunday Dec 20 | post #35421)

Of course maybe it's the cat's way of saying " You could brush me more often." That was to Pokay, not to you. You are right about hairball treatments. Kittys need healthy oils in there diet to move things along in the right direction.  (Saturday Dec 19 | post #35346)

It's all about marketing these days. How to market and sell ideas to the public. The CD's "Spontaneous Evolution" did address this in short. Bruce Lipton spoke of a man that was hired to market WWll to the public. I'm terrible at remembering names when I'm absorbing too much info at once. Have to listen to that part of the CD again. But the man was hired for his ad campaign skills. He came up with a lot of the posters that struck at the heart of the public and got them involved in the war.  (Saturday Dec 19 | post #35344)

Wish you could see a documentary called " Manufactured Landscapes". It's all about China's "industrial " revolution. Well they did follow our lead. They are like children who discovered how to behave like bad grown ups. Don't for a minute think that there aren't very wealthy Americans that would gladly live in a penthouse in China and give up their residence here if it means living the high life.  (Friday Dec 18 | post #35317)

I find that I am somewhat of a loner in the sense I don't have "really close" friendships. I have friends that I enjoy socializing with and friends that I will go out of my way for and friends that I can say I truly love. But I always keep a little bit of distance. My best friends know this about me and seem to respect it. Too many "friends " through the years have been "takers" or have "agendas " that they want you to support without question or expect you to accept everything about them. I find this simply impossible to do. All of my friends have shortcomings (as of course do I) but I find if I learn to see them as they really are and not allow myself to get caught up in their personal dramas and agendas it allows me to be there for them when it really counts.  (Friday Dec 18 | post #35314)

I'm with you here. Russell Crowe reminds me of Richard Burton. Yum. John Lithgow does have a subtle charisma I could never explain. Gregory Peck in "To Kill a Mockingbird". Why can't they make them like that in real life.  (Tuesday Dec 15 | post #35006)

Have to express a different opinion here. Cruise was perfect as Lestat. Self centered, shallow, out for all the gusto he can get no matter who gets in the way. I think he was born for that part. No one else could have delivered that last line, while adjusting his lacy sleeve cuffs and listening to the interview he says " Louie, Louie, still whining Louie."  (Monday Dec 14 | post #34962)

You really do need to take a chill pill. What's with all the questions? Did I give Obama a Peace Pize? I'm saying that the world view of his "approach " to war includes more sitting down at the table to discuss instead of head on let's just blast the hell out of every city in Iraq so Halliburton can rebuild them. And this is probably the perception that got him the Nobel Peace Prize. Do I agree? Do you really want to know how I feel about it? Don't know that I really want to set myself up for a Sheila lashing.  (Monday Dec 14 | post #34961)

Myself and others I know feel that it is more a message "thank god Bush is gone". If Obama had been elected on the heels of say the Clinton administration his current approach to war may have been viewed much differently.  (Sunday Dec 13 | post #34857)
