I agree. Before our recent merge and route changes I was able to figure within a few bucks. Now it's off 10-20 bucks in S-L favor. I do 83% added back in. Maybe I should do 81%. That's the thing no one will give you a straight answer. Different answer for everyone you ask  (Sep 6, 2013 | post #4426)

We sell Hubert's and purple stuff in dallas area. Hubert's does good, not so much for purple stuff. At least in my stores considering only 1 account I sell purple stuff (kroger) and 3 different accounts I sell Hubert's. (Walmart,Tom thumb,Kroger)  (Aug 5, 2013 | post #4237)

Dallas. I have a bin route but we all have the option to load between those hours. I wanna say u can load as early as like 3or4 in the morning m-f. I use to load at the warehouse but when they offered the bins I was like hell yeah considering traffic is so bad in dallas area  (Aug 4, 2013 | post #4224)

I should have said north Texas. Or D/FW for that matter. We use to be some traditional, some c-stores with targets and Walmart routes, and some grocery routes. Now they ate all traditional routes  (Aug 3, 2013 | post #4206)

Texas use to be like y'all's routes but recently they were changed to a area with all accounts on a route. Not one or the other like y'all's are and like ours use to be. It would make since for y'all's area to be changed since the Walmart routes will become over loaded  (Aug 3, 2013 | post #4201)

My computer freezes up a lot to where I have to re-boot it at least once a day. Then it has to be re-set to the printer at least once a month  (Jul 26, 2013 | post #4166)

Since we have to buy routes the guys with the non Walmart routes, their sales were down and had hardly if any equity in them. The Walmart routes were mostly good equity. So S-L bought routes back at what they sold it to us and the guys with equity got a check and the guys with negative equity, S-L ate the loss. And this is true cause I know one of the guys that was negative. My old route should have been running 7,000 plus but due to loss of space a some partner brands my route was averaging 6100 when they bought it back. I had around 1000 equity cause we all had only been into the old routes maybe 2 years or less so with low sales average and what i paid into the route i had a little equity. I bought the old route at a average of like 6450. The new route(11stops) I have now has a few more stops then my old one(7stops) but my weekly average at the moment is around 7,000 and we haven't enter peak season yet(late aug-jan  (Jul 24, 2013 | post #4153)

Never say never on a re-route. They just did one down south a few months ago. They are all combo routes now. There was 2 kinds of routes for the most part. Walmart/targets and gas station routes and the other grocery changes on the other routes. Rural areas have to be combo routes or traditional as we call it. Old routes had 3-4 guys cris crossing each other. Now it's combo and u have your circle(square, tria ngle) whatever shape ur map is. Lol. They bought back all routes and re issued the routes. Actually came out better for all and more in the IO favor in my opinion  (Jul 23, 2013 | post #4150)

I would talk to your DM or someone about this. I too work out of a bin and anything less then 30 days should be guaranteed credit. And anytime there's a shortage the warehouse is usually over on their end. I would have your DM meet up with you to check off a normal order if these issues are consistent. Towhere he can see for hisself. At the least since your not too far from warehouse I would maybe consider loading from there. Easier said then done but might be worth the savings in loading your own product and being billed correct compared to the loss you are taking being at their will of shortage of product and dates.  (Apr 9, 2013 | post #3349)

We all complain. From top to bottom and all different company's. not just S-L guys. This world we live in isn't easy anymore. I do my share of complaining. It's part of life. And to say frito lay guys don't complain and are hard workers. U must not meet the ones on my route. They are always complaining about something and some of them are lazy as hell cutting corners to get off their route quicker. They deal with alot of the same BS us S-L guys deal with from a corporate level. We're all getting screwed somehow. And the funny thing is we have had like 2-3 frito guys come over to S-L.  (Apr 1, 2013 | post #3295)

Has your area recently received new computers? My area received them about 3 months ago and I have noticed bugs too. For example when doing a credit at a gas station(quicktrip) I gave credit for like 6 different items totally like 12 items total. It added all of it into my inventory at the end of the day and when I zeroed it out it didn't show any kind of inventory difference. This happen like 2 weeks ago. Did another credit in that same store today so I'm gonna check to see if it did the same thing tomorrow. Didn't think about it til I saw your post. I let my DM know via email on all the computer issues along with other things so he can pass it on. If its something consistent or real major I call route support  (Mar 12, 2013 | post #3127)
