Review: Bartlett Fresh Market

I hope it does not go out of business!!! Bartlett needs stores to make a good living environment for the residents. I hope the residents understand they need to support the local stores so we don't wind up with a ghost town for a downtown area. I would like to see something come back to the 'Blue Ribbon" spot. Can't let Walmart eat all the stores!!!  (Monday Dec 14 | post #25)

Elgin man admits placing spy-cam in women's bathroom at work

I hear spy cams are standard practice in all fast food restaurant washrooms. You can buy the recordings on ebay. The title is "Ay Carumba! Your ass is on camera!"  (Thursday Dec 10 | post #2)

Review: Schaumburg Pre Driven

I have been buying new cars every 3 years or so for the last 40 years and I believe "most" car dealerships, salesman, managers, etc would steal their mother's last nickel if they had the chance. If the auto industry wants to raise car sales they should take the stress of having to deal with these guys to come up with a purchase price for a car. They are just negotiating to get the most money they can out of you and when you leave the dealership with your new car you feel like you were screwed. People fear going to a dealership to buy a car worse than going to the dentist!!  (Wednesday Nov 25 | post #2)

Downtown Bartlett Traffic Lights

Did the traffic lights in "downtown " Bartlett get re-programmed or something. They don't seem to be that much of a nuisance anymore. The wait times seem much less now! Wazz UP?  (Oct 22, 2009 | post #1)

Downtown Bartlett partnership developed

Will the "new" downtown business group be sharing their plan for helping the bartlett businesses and people? I would like to know what it is before I comment about it!!  (Sep 29, 2009 | post #1)

Bartlett mayor won't endorse successor yet

Melcher was a "nice" mayor but not a very good one. She made everything "nice" but not good for the Bartlett residents. The town center is a joke!! Don't like the new railroad station either or that pack of street lights in the downtown area that give you either a red or green suntan from all the lights that are installed. Bartlett needs a mayor that can get more busineses into Bartlett to help with the tax base. And get the store rents in the town center to be more reasonable so a small family business can survive there. Get something going for the teenagers in Bartlett to take part in to give them something to do besides roam around and get in trouble.  (Feb 20, 2009 | post #4)

sonic drive--in in bartlett

Now that Sonic is open we all had to go there, just for the experience. We waited in a long line with lots of others for an open speaker station but that was still kinda cool. We had a decent size order and had a difficult time getting the person at the other end of the speaker to get it all correct. maybe cause they were so busy. The food was ok, but just ok. nothing special. We plan to go back again, hopefully when it is not sooooo crowded to see if the food gets better or worse. The Sonics I have been to in the south all had a small dining area where customers could sit inside instead of having to eat in the car all the time.  (Feb 20, 2009 | post #10)

Review: Blue Ribbon Restaurant

We stopped by the Blue Ribbon to eat and were told we needed a reservation so we left. But I made a reservation for the next night and we were there for dinner. I made sure we tried several different items from the menu just to get a sampling of how the food was. Everything we had was very good. As I looked around I saw most were having the hamburgers, which are very good. Just don't like the idea of having to make a reservation to eat hamburgers!!!!!!!!  (Feb 20, 2009 | post #31)

Italian deli, gelateria opens in Bartlett

Bartlett really needs places like this Italian deli. Especially in the warmer months. Too bad it didn't work out. There really is no place to take the family and have a nice coffee or ice cream for the kids and just relax and enjoy Bartlett.  (Feb 16, 2009 | post #4)
