SOM.. other than the link you posted.. did anyone start up any other topic about it? So please dont put the blame upon others if people do not know other than yourselves. There are many Muslims who are on this forum to have stated just that... and you know who they are. Yes we have the Chinese New Year... the New Year that has occured today/yesterday around the world that I would say 99% of the worlds population follow... I gather you have your own calendars... own time frames as well. Now look at it this way... how much more divided in this world does everyone have to become before everything falls apart. We have different time zones, different religions, different races of people, different cultures, different currencies, languages etc.... but honestly we should ALL have the same calenders... But if people want to keep everything so different and think that they are better than others, well sorry they are wrong. If one wishes to say Happy New Year to others, who is it hurting... no one... it is a way of getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. Funny, I might have the occassional... yes occassional glass of wine... but I had not a drop last night, nor at 'christmas'. I only heard the fireworks going off... as I had to work today from 7.30am (up at 6.15am)... People like to party... and it can be without alcohol and 'sin'.... and have a fantastic time... its called having fun with family and friends.... Next time there is a 'celebration' due to the Islamic calendar... let us know... and most will be positive in their remarks. (even if we dont agree with the total Islam)  (6 hrs ago | post #39)

No probs Amsterdamned... I write things when I have actual real accounts or facts about things. Some dont like it, some do. Its a matter of Judgement. It was all about OIL.. no doubt about it... not about the MWOD at all... but I wish people would look at the whole picture and not just little snippets... I was not pro S.H (and unfortuntely I am not pro Islam either it its full form).. but he was never given a fair trial... it should not have been up to the US to do it.. that is why we have the UN... How is what PKN insulting???? and how can one look evil when PKN has no picture attached to its posting???? Just like yourself.. no pic or characterture. Now i am just wondering, how many Muslims will celebrate NYE celebrations. Why is it that any celebration by us/western people... is deemed to be of sin... oh please. How many parties I have attended and people have had a great time with NO SEX or ALCOHOL...!!! How many NYE or Christmas celebrations (ie: carols by candlelight) have been non-alcohol events... and they have been fantastic.... and everyone is so well behaved because it is a FAMILY/FRIENDS celebration. Well which ever it is... 2010 is about to be here - 12 hrs to go for where I am in Australia (Victoria). May you all have a safe and happy celebration... dont make too many resolutions (honestly I dont, cause I never stick to them lol). Enjoy life, have fun and make the most of everything you have... Yes another one to add to the list... that is forever growing longer and longer... and this from the article: **The court initially jailed the father for 15 years, "but decided to reduce the sentence after the man's family urged leniency"** Leniency... WHY???? he killed his daughter because he SUSPECTED of having an affair... and the daughter had been kidnapped.... WTF???? Kidnapped by others ... then murdered by dad - the father should be sent straight to HELL.. and the daughter.. what a loss of a young life. Totally sickening.  (Yesterday | post #1)

Now in some ways I can believe that your gov't thinks like that... sorry but look at your Pres...(yes I know is he or isnt he a M???) Interesting topic. Now most remember S.H.. only for the so called W.O.M.D.... and the ethic cleansing that did occur.... BUT here is where it gets very interesting. My hubby works with a guy from Iraq and what he has been told is interesting... and this guy is a Christian.. he has been back a few times to Iraq S.H. was actually not a really bad guy. He was trying to keep control of Iraq (something things good some not so)... but they did not have Shari law, the women did not have to wear the veil, all religions were practiced there.... The first gulf war was started because kuwait was stealing the oil from Iraq (hence why they invaded Kuwait)... they were tapping into their pipelines.. hence why S.H.. set fire to them and said .. just let them burn. Yes Iraq might have had uranium stockpiled.. but so do so many other countries around the world. He tried to build a secular government...To the consternation of Islamic conservatives, Saddam's government gave women added freedoms and offered them high-level government and industry jobs. Saddam also created a Western-style legal system, making Iraq the only country in the Persian Gulf region not ruled according to traditional Islamic law (Sharia). Saddam abolished the Sharia courts, except for personal injury claims... I am not claiming that S.D was an angel.. he was far from it.. but he tried to restore law and order into a country .. his country that was been ridden away from others (the Shi'as of Iran)... But notice today who has now taken control of Iraq.. it is the shi'as... and look at how the country is turning out ... NOW there is Sharia law.... so tell me now is this good??? I think people should start listening to people who use to live in that country and to see the real picture... and not just want the media portrays everything to be.. because its not.  (Tuesday Dec 29 | post #13)

Like I said,... its in the Hadiths.... only cause Muhammad said so... not by any God. Plucking your eyebrows... oh please.... what a total joke... Well at least my Hubby will never be one.. he has about 6 I think (just dont quote me) ... and me, I always wanted to get one on my ankle... but never got round to it bar the fake ones... lol So looks like the loving Allah dispises all the people who have tats...
