Just FYI Johnny, whenever a teenager says "There's nothing to do/we are bored," grown-ups hear: "I can't do anything/I am boring." That's why they don't take your complaint about "nothing to do" seriously. They don't believe it. What sounds great and relevant at 15 -- "Schools sucks, I could do the work but it is soooo boring and I don't see the point" takes on a whole different spin when you're 45. Imagine someone who's been saying that same thing for 30 (thirty!) years... friends and neighbors just don't buy it. They just laugh in your face and give you pity behind your back.
