Penman did nothing to me personally.. He has wasted all of our tax dollars. Enuff said. This is an issue you should take to the church or the right authorities if you really think molestation is happening at the church. But you won't take it that far because you don't really believe what you are writing here. If you truly believe that children are being molested you NEED to call the authorities. Keynesian economic remedies have been recognized and utilized by governments throughout the world for almost a century. For some reason people on blogs talk an awful amount against government spending. Government spending regenerates economies ailing from lack of consumer spending. The EDA and RDA job is to redevelop blighted communities. Who would argue that San Bernardino is not a city of blighted communities? Since the federal government is/will be spending more money in local economies, San Bernardino should be united in getting some of that money for places like the arrowhead springs resort. That kind of economic boast is what attracts business. We need to create a cluster of economic activity based on tourism with the arrowhead springs resort, our connection to Route 66 as well as our local forests. Starshine, starshine, starshine. Why do you seek relief from Penman? He cannot even if the recall effort does not work help you. The only people who can help you are the city council, not PEnman. So before you continue commenting in support of Penman rememeber this, Penman is still the city attorney and their is nothing he can do to help you no matter what anyone says. Your constant comments trying to defend Penman does nothing for your cause except make you sound as irrational as the rest of Penman's supporters. At this point I have to wonder why Penman supporters want to talk about critics instead of defending Jim. I am a proactive citizen who has witnessed Penman, Kelly, McCormack, and formerly Estrada vote on proposals without reason. Often, this group will take an issue and make a political case out of something that is routine such as the Arden-Guthrie redevelopment, that is REDEVELOPMENT of a blighted area. BEfore you start trying to lie and tell everyone that it is moving in more low income people be aware that the area that is being redeveloped was 140 low income units being replaced by a "commercial center" and 100 low income units., But of course this means nothing to the Penman supporters because they do not care about the facts only the misinformation they choose to spread for the day. Unlike Penman who needs his job because he has gotten used to the income, I have no personal stake in this. I could easily walk for recalling Penman or walk away from recalling Penman, but you folks make the choice easy. I do not know for certain if you know Penman as a family member, friend, or beneficiary, but you folks are personally tied to him holding his position. I want Penman recalled because he has become a 20 year veteran politician, which is bad for any community. WIth a decline in the city lasting as long or longer than his reign it is logical to determine that he is not part of the solution. So I answered your question as to why I want Penman recalled. This comment is rich. First off the Recall effort is ongoing. Secondly I think it is funny that this guy who is calling himself Totally amused says that we gave up when Penman said he would retire after this term in office. He is only saying that so he would not have to face a recall. Too bad Penman, the jig is up. LEave with your head held high and resign to work for firm that will hire you. Save us all the trouble. Why is Penman worried? BEcause he knows he should not have his position anymore, but he needs to keep his job because he has gotten used to his 100,000 dollar a year job for 20 years. HE claims he is going to retire after his term to keep the public from getting involved in the recall campaign. Show him he is no longer wanted as our city attorney. A matter of fact, the reason the Penman supporters are on here using alias (and not registering themselves) is because they are afraid that people will continue joining facebook and other groups that have popped up to recall the malfeasance plagued city attorney Jim Penman. The recall effort will not end until after it has had its run. Which means that after the paper has announced the recall effort and after an attempt to petition signitures has occured.
