When you're talking about the primoridal universe, you get to a point back to where before time and space existed...things were in a quantum state before the big bang, time and space was folded in on itself. In those conditions, concepts like 'something' and 'nothing' and 'before' or 'after' really had no frame of reference. Thats not to say there's total disproof of any god concept, its just not something required to fill in any gaps of info about the universe's origins. This '08 race is the most exciting in my (albeit relatively short) lifetime. I was almost about to give up on hoping for any kind of reinvigoration of this country...the last election was full of duds. I am sick of Clintons and Bushes...especiall y the latter. Maybe America is finally waking up out of its long national nightmare. We have seen a strong crop of candidates on both sides and watching this heated contest play out has been exciting. I am for Obama all the way and I could even be ok with McCain as president (at least he's not mildly retarded or loathsome). Good do see the country moving a little more left of center. In order for something to be considered a scientific theory, it needs to meet some criteria. One is that there must be some hypothetical way to disprove it. Since there is no way to prove or disprove Genesis, or any other religion's creation story it is not a scientific theory. It really has no place in science class. No one is stopping parents from trying to get thier kids to believe in their religon, but its not the taxpayer's job. (Feb 20, 2008 | post #148)
