That's what this guy I know, who is 6' 375 pounds, a republican for life, and has almost no neck but what you can see is red, lives in Georgia, and has twelve confederate flags in his living room, said. He said, "gosh dangee, I didn't know that Obama feller was black....I just look past his skin color and analyze his speeches instead." Yup. That's what he said. So I beleeeeeve you. Glad that u and Morris and Barb are teaming up! I will work on this. I heard it sometime ago, and you guys are the kind that need an internet link for everything. I will try to locate that source and give it to you, not that it will change your viewpoint at all. The only reason any of you mention it is to discredit the blogger--me. You are welcome to disprove, if you wish. But I will try to track down the source. Thanks for showing so much interest in the Spaceport! Onward and upward! (Oct 26, 2009 | post #29)
GOP and plan are contradictory statements (Oct 26, 2009 | post #6)
The world wasplunged into economic turmoil back last Aeptember, over a year ago. Obama wasn't even elected then. How quickly we forget when we choose to. (Oct 26, 2009 | post #3)

Because he would be deprived of his favorite passion--griping about where he lives and the need to carry weapons to church, the john, and to mc donald's drive -up window. (Oct 25, 2009 | post #18)
The right-wing fringe segment of the Republican Party ahs used the tactic of identifying a strength of an opponent, and using it against him or her. It has been done before, but Rove refined it to a science. So, with obvious indifference at the best and overt racism at the worst, the right wing Repbus accuse the Dems of racism, and, unbelieveably, accuse the black president of the same. It is a brilliant tactic. The unschooled and oblivious cultist following of the fringe right believe what the talk show hosts and bloggers spew forth. It will come back to haunt them. I want people of color to finally speak out. They have sat quietly too long. I want them to get in Beck's and Limbaugh's face like those two and people like them get in the face of people who do value racial equality. I must agree that Rovian hypocrisy is difficult to overcome. Orwell would be proud of Larl. (Oct 25, 2009 | post #28)
Your View: Letters to the editor (Oct. 23)
Conservatives rant about gummint education, but they NEED an uneducated public to accept their philosophy without benefit of thought. It aligns with the whole evangelical Christian movement which needs an ignorant public to accept the wobbly premises that underlie creationism and ID. The best friend the GOP has is an undereducated public. They gripe about it, but an informed, thinking public would kill the grand design of the Republicans. Dumb is good if you are want to instill good, right-wing conservative values. (Oct 25, 2009 | post #19)

Me too. I'm glad your taxes are not being used for that either. Your life will be immeasurably enriched by you knowing you are not having to pay an extra couple of bucks a year. Good for you. (Oct 25, 2009 | post #20)
