This is most definately not a time for judgments & criticiam, this is a time for compassion, caring & prayers, not only for this man, his wife & his child who will not have their daddy for their 1st Christmas, but also for the other emergency personnel who have worked with this young man. 6-Year-Old Sand Springs Boy Killed In Four-Wheeler Wreck

He landed 3 ft from the vehicle.......this can happen with a normal bicycle! Get a grip readers & realize that the 4 wheeler is not to blame, the adults are not to blame, it was an accident & this family needs our prayers, NOT our judgement! FYI-the school was called & it was all but blown off.....they were not even willing to work anything out, putting all the blame off on the 5 yr old child who trusted the bus driver to do his job. OK, question......why is it a family child care is limited to 7 children, a large family child care is limited to 12, with 2 adults, a center has ratios they must abide by, schools have to have a ratio of adults to students, yet a bus of 60+ students can be driven with just 1 adult???? I see something wrong with the math here! I feel they need to get a 2nd adult on each & every bus to help prevent this from happening again. At our school, any student wanting to get off the bus anywhere but his/her normal place must have a written note or it does not happen.  (Sep 23, 2009 | post #111)

5 year olds are allowed to ride the bus to & from school This helps with fuel expenses for the family, traffic congestion & accidents. The child was found 5 blocks from his house in the pouring rain. No one has mentioned lawsuit. She called, drove around & called over & over again. The school system in it's entireity is responsible for this child during this time frame, including making sure he/she arrives at their "correct destination". ....if the bus driver is unable to preform his/her duties & responsibilities they were hired for, then they need to hire another driver or see about getting an assiatant or volunteer to ride with them until they know the routes, stops, kids names & faces. This child had a tag on with his name address & bus stop location.......it was apparently not checked. The child got off where the driver dropped him off, it was pouring rain, this distorts faces, vehicls, street signs etc, the child was unable to determine his exact ocation.  (Sep 23, 2009 | post #24)

Because it was during regular class time & did not warrant a panic of parents leaving work to go to the school.
