Ia hate headlines like this! Im annoyed by Bobby Gunther Walsh and his cronies constantly yapping about their Operation Snowflake. They seem to have some kind of sick pleasure in this. It's sadistic. They do not have a choice because he is their property until 2011 when he is able to become a free agent. They could trade him but anybody they would get in return would have to be of equal or better superstar status and would command just as much money. So, they have to deal with it and keep the guy happy. Otherwise the team would have a grump on their hands like Scott Rolen and the clubhouse morale would suffer. In regards to Rolen he never turned out that super anyway and he has proven by his run ins with Tony Larussa that it was'nt just the Phillies fault It was his! (Feb 21, 2008 | post #6)
I remember Speedys Records. I shopped there in the very early 80's I recall buying Foreigner 4, (slight embarassment over that one) Split Enz Waita, B-52s Private Idaho, and many others.
