Once you come out, it's a little difficult to go-back-in. For example, I would tell my peers I was straight, and simultaneously, download gay porn on my computer. You could say I was lieing, but I was simply not ready to be truthful with them or myself. I also believe you saying "changed " their sexual orientation is misleading; it never did "change" . I have always been gay (I can reflect on memories at age 9. You know, boy crushes, etc.) Therefore, telling myself and my friends I was straight did not make it so. (Tuesday Nov 24 | post #5266)

Physically forced? Probably not. Emotionally forced, absolutely. Many gay people who are in heterosexual relationships are stuck because of societal pressure and manipulation. We seldom hear families abondoning their child(ren) because of their religion or ethnicity; however, it is more common if their offspring are gay. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #3778)
