Hillary Snaps!

Actually, all she had to say was "Do you mean President Obama?", because I believe that was to whom the questioner was referring. But if Madeleine Albright was the Sec of State right now and the question was posed of her, she would not have jumped down the guys throat because he mentioned Pres. Clinton, she would have simply given the questioner the correct name and answered. what Hillary needs to remember is that not everyone in the world has a nostalgic love affair with Bill.  (Aug 12, 2009 | post #25)

Compared to what the people he writes about are doing (drug wise) the smoking of a little pot seems to be a little tame.  (Jun 30, 2009 | post #44)

Amber Alert For Missing 5yr Old Monroe MI Girl

They are stupid, and live in their own world. I babysat for a while for a little girl who would arrive with the Mom's boyfriend in the morning. One day the police came to my door and wanted to speak with Emily because someone in her family had raised concerns over her well being. Seems the boyfriend was a convicted sex offender, and Mom had allowed him to move in with her, and Emily and her 13 year old son. My husband blew a gasket and I told Emily's mom that we could no longer have her at our house since we were not comfortable with sex offenders having such close contact with our own children. A week or so later, I received a phone call from an acquaintance who had just seen Emily riding down the middle of a 4 lane road in an office chair pulled by her brother and his bike. I called the officer who had been at my house the week before and was told that he was there as we spoke, and that according to the mom, it was HIS fault (the officer!) she was riding down the road in a chair. If he hadn't told me that her boyfriend was an offender, she would still be in care at my house! There was NO concern for her children. According to her, her boyfriend cared about her too much to hurt her children, and she had warned him never to try, so in her mind they were perfectly safe! These women are narcissistic to the n'th degree, and need immediate and permanent sterilization and the loss of their children. I am sickened by the thought of the fate that Emily faces, as well as Nevaeh and all the other children who have very little chance of a happy life.  (Jun 4, 2009 | post #94)

U.S. private sector axes 532,000 jobs in May

Maybe you are right. The left will declare job creation and the right will claim losses, and the real people stuck in the middle will still be sitting on unemployment.  (Jun 3, 2009 | post #6)

I wonder how the Obama admin. will spin the next few months of GM job cuts. Since the govt now owns the majority of GM interest, will the job losses coming soon, be counted as govt downsizing by those wishing to spin the losses?  (Jun 3, 2009 | post #2)

My guess is that the level of poverty in this country does not come close to that in other countries. I honestly have never heard of a child starving to death here. It happens thousands of times a day in less wealthy countries , where there is no safety net. In Haiti, people are eating "cookies " made of mud , lard and salt to stay alive. My mother used to work in a school where some of the "Lost Boys" of Sudan attended. They told her they used to eat every third day, and often it was leaves off a tree. We Americans have become insulated to the very real problems in the rest of the world, and it is very sad that it has made us callous and unsympathetic to those who struggle just to find food and water for the day.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #106)

Disappointing opener for the Tigers

Anyone else disappointed about last nights game? Verlander sure struggled. And how about Inge's new batting stance? Weird looking, but seems to work!  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #1)

I am so proud of the kids from MSU! They had a fantastic year and played their hearts out. 2nd out of how many teams, plus a great regular season. Nothing to be ashamed of! Izzo himself said the Tar Heels were the best team in the country. GO MSU! You made us Spartans proud.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #17)
