We think: Orlando's homeless issues go way beyond free meals at...
Most of the homeless I see around Orlando are not people that were forced in to homelessness because of the economy. They are homeless/jobless by choice because they don't want to be told what to do and can not handle the concept of keeping a job. Lazy. Drug addicted. Crazy. If you make things easy for these slackers with free meals, warm cots, free medical care, etc. What is there motivation to become a production member of society? None. Make things hard for the slackers and they will find a job, or move to a city with easier access to handouts. This has been proven to work over and over. The did it in Sarasota a few years ago and the homeless people left town. If you arrested everyone pushing a shopping cart down the street for possession of stolen property, guess what, they would stop stealing the carts. If the cops shook them down every time they caught them sleeping in a park, or in a doorway, they would leave. Make being homeless to much like a job and they will leave. They don't want the hassle. If they wanted to be hassled they would get a job with me and meet my boss. (Thursday Oct 2 | post #3)
Bill Heard files Chapter 11 bankruptcy
"The bankruptcy statement says Heard succumbed to a "perfect storm" of challenges that include "an astronomical rise in gasoline prices" that led to "a significant decline in the volume of purchases of Chevrolet manufactured vehicles." Why does the slantinal keep reporting this untruth? The most powerful marketing in the world is word of mouth, and it is also the worst. You can only **** over so many people before eventually ever one hears you are crooks. (Tuesday Sep 30 | post #6)
Change in AT&T billing could mean double charges on one bill
Maybe at&t is tired of people running out on large bills. It use to be no phone until you paid. But now if you look athe penny saver there are tons of places that will give you a home phone for $25 a month (in advance). Without having to pay off your ld at&t bill. Don't forget the cost of collections. This way when you run out of money (credit) they cut you off and you are even. Like pre-paid cellular. (Monday Sep 29 | post #81)

We think: Homeless crisis needs full attention of local leaders
Most of the homeless I see around downtown Orlando and able body people, that happen to be dope heads of slackers. Since slackers like things easy, free hot meals, free cot at night, free air condition buses, and all the other hand outs. There is no incentive for them to go back to work. FACT: If you make things hard for the homeless, they may figure out that it would be easier to get a job or move to a more 'homeless friendly' city. It's like a stray cat. If you want it to go away, stop feeding it. (Friday Sep 26 | post #5)

Bill Heard Chevrolet closes doors as part of nationwide shutdown
If the Sentinel would actually do some research they would have discovered that Bill is going to jail in Phoenix. They have very strict laws there about displaying the bottom line sales price on the windshield. In many other states Bill was able to pay a small fine and walk away. But the Arizona DA is not having. He has guaranteed the public that Bill will do at least 18 months for his bait and switch tactics. That he continued to do even after a Judge ordered him to stop. /In that tent jail where they wear pink. (Wednesday Sep 24 | post #74)

That will be a row of sports bars and eateries by the time the arena opens. Isn't that part of the plan? To have a place to get something to eat before or after the game? The main reason the o-rena sucks is there is nothing else around to help make going to a game/event a better all around experience. If I was currently in one of those spaces I would sign a long term lease and start working on a getting a liquor license. (Thursday Sep 18 | post #13)
