Demand for options that protect against losses in an exchange-traded fund tracking retailers and suppliers of other nonessential consumer-goods in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell to the lowest level in more than a year relative to bullish ones, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Short interest on the ETF is four percentage points below its five-year average. Comment?

The owner of the Belterra Casino and Resort in Switzerland County confirmed Monday it is having talks with Gaming & Leisure Properties about the sale of its real estate assets. Belterra owner Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. said it doesn't intend to make any additional comments until it has something definitive to report, Bloomberg News reported. Comment?

"' Pinnacle Entertainment, which is in process of splitting into two companies, confirmed Monday that it is in talks to sell its real estate assets to Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. In March, casino property owner Gaming and Leisure Properties publicly announced that it offered to buy Pinnacle's real estate assets in a deal it valued at $4.1 billion, including debt. At the time, Pinnacle said it would review the offer. Comment?
