Rye Neck, which is mostly located in Village of Mamaroneck, is considered part of the Town of Rye with Port Chester and Rye Brook, but what would happen to Rye Neck without the town is a bit of mystery. The Journal News reports that Port Chester and Rye Brook would become independent without the Town of Rye essentially acting as a parent. Comment?

A very long list of products sold at Whole Foods Markets have been recalled, including some sold at the supermarket's food bars up to Feb. 5. Stores affected include the stores at 575 Boston Post Rd. in Port Chester as well as in Yonkers, Greenwich and White Plains. Each of the products was prepared with ground cumin spice that may have been contaminated with undeclared peanuts by a supplier to Whole Foods. Comment?
