The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology is soliciting applications for grants of $5,000 to $50,000 that can pay for consultants, contract engineering, patenting costs, tooling, training, equipment that will automate work, and other projects. Manufacturers with no more than 300 employees may receive the money if the company spends an equal amount on the vendor's services, or finds federal dollars to match the state's grant. Comment?
