    Proposal to cap electric charge to be discussed

    A key Connecticut lawmaker is joining a coalition of labor, religious and environmental groups to discuss a legislative proposal to place a cap on the residential fixed charge imposed by the state's largest electric utility, Connecticut Light and Power. Rep. Lonnie Reed, a Branford Democrat, was scheduled to appear Monday at the Legislative Office Building with members of the Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs.
