    Marietta to host D1 district track meet today

    When Marietta High's thinclads competed in the East Central Ohio League track and field championships at Don Drumm Stadium on May 15, they did so with the school in mind. "Our goal this week was to leave everything on the track, because this is the league meet," said MHS girls coach Mollie Schramm.

    Lyons, Tornadoes Roar Past Garaway

    West Muskingum ace Dylan Lyons tossed a complete-game, three-hit shutout to carry West Muskingum past Garaway, 1-0. The Tornadoes scored the lone run of the game on an Alex Lynch single in the 6th.

    W. Muskingum gets by Harrison Central in 8th inning

    Harrison Central's second-year head coach Mike Valesko admitted that a few plays in the sectional final game against West Muskingum will haunt him all summer as the Huskies saw a 4-0 lead slip away in the sixth inning and their season end as the Tornadoes picked up a 5-4 win as a walk forced the winning run across the plate.
