    Trevor Moore reached on an error and scored the go-ahead run on a single by Christian Maddox in the eighth inning on Monday as Mountain View edged host Camas 8-7 in a Class 4A Greater St. Helens League baseball game. Camas had an early 5-0 lead, but the Papermakers needed a run in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings.

    Kyle Moen got the final hit in a game full of hits and scoring opportunities as Mountain View rallied to top Heritage 7-6 in a Class 4A Greater St. Helens League baseball game Tuesday. Heritage, looking for its first league win of the year, scored two in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead, but the Thunder rallied for three runs in the bottom of the frame.

The Thunder central defender scored on three direct free kicks from the Mountain View half of the field in a 5-3 win over the Chieftains at Jason Lee Middle School.

    Many of the top senior boys and girls basketball players from Southwest Washington are scheduled to compete Sunday in the 20th annual Les Schwab Tires Roundball Shootout, powered by Shoot 360. The event begins at 4 p.m. at Clark College Union's Micah Paulson, who was recently named The Columbian's All-Region player of the year, is expected to play.
