    Razorbacks hire Dan Enos as offensive coordinator

    The University of Arkansas announced today that it had hired Vernon Hargreaves, who'd been coaching at Houston, as the Razorback football team's linebacker coach. He'll be paid $275,000.

    AR Basketball to Host "Meet the Razorbacks"...

    The Arkansas baseball team will hold its annual Meet The Razorbacks Day on Sunday, Feb. 8 at center court of the Northwest Arkansas Mall from 4:30-6 p.m. Now in its 20th year, the event features Arkansas baseball head coach Dave Van Horn and the Razorback baseball team.     UA-Texas a rivalry regardless of sport

    Three years ago it didn't appear Andrew Irwin of Mount Ida had the stomach to vault from national high school and U.S. junior pole vault champion to his University of Arkansas freshman indoor season debut against Texas. Irwin soared 18-0 1/4, winning the vault and setting a Razorbacks indoor record that he improved to 18-8 1/4 among his two national championships.

    AP Source: Arkansas' Chaney leaving for Pittsburgh

    Jim Chaney is leaving Arkansas just as the program appears to have returned to Southeastern Conference relevance. The offensive coordinator, known for his dynamic passing offenses at schools such as Purdue and Tennessee, has left the Razorbacks to accept the same position at Pittsburgh, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Sunday night.

    Positive developments for Razorbacks

    Season on the turf is over, but let's start with two probably perfunctory notes about recent shakeups on the Bret Bielema's football staff at Arkansas. Losing offensive coordinator Jim Chaney, he of the indisputably sorry win-loss record while at the helm of Tennessee and Arkansas's offenses, is now headed northeasterly to Pitt.
