For Atlantic City Friday's matchup comes just one day before a game against Top 15 Paterson Eastside at the Jersey City Armory. Of any team in the state, that kind of two day stretch traveling from South Jersey all the way up to Jersey City and playing two teams the caliber of Holy Spirit and Paterson Eastside is one of the most brutal situations possible. Despite a 23 point effort by junior center Jovani Haskins, Bergenfield was unable to take down the perennial county champions in Teaneck Jan. 9. The 62-52 loss did, however, have the smallest margin of victory for Teaneck in their four Bergen County matchups thus far this season. "They're the team to beat in Bergen County, there's no doubt about it, year in and year out," said Bergenfield coach Marty Rivard. Comment?

With the controversy surrounding the status of head coach Steve Covello and staff, it seems appropriate to do the same to several truths. The truth is, a great deal of conversation has overtaken the City's athletic community about unconfirmed reports that Covello and his entire staff will be brought back in 2015, despite a painful 2014 season that saw the Mustangs make all kinds of history for futility. Comment?
