Jake Williamson kicked two field goals and Shane Young added a third-quarter touchdown run, but it wasn't enough for the Fellowship Christian School varsity football team. Williamson, who was 2-for-3 in field-goal attempts, kicked a 24-yarder with 5:40 left in the fourth quarter to give FCS a 13-10 lead over Whitefield Academy in Mableton on the road on Oct. 17. But the WolfPack rallied for the game-winning TD late in the game. Comment?

Alpharetta jumped out to a 13-0 lead within the first three minutes of the game and never looked back as the Raiders defeated north Fulton rival Centennial 39-0 in a Region 6AAAAAA contest. The Raiders went on to add two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 27-0 halftime lead, then scored one touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters to wrap up the win. Comment?

Fellowship Christian took the lead with 33 straight points and held off a furious late rally by Mount Pisgah to upset the state-ranked Patriots 33-28 last Friday night on the Paladins' home field. Mount Pisgah jumped out a 14-0 lead after one quarter, but the Paladins outscored the Patriots 33-0 over the next two and a half periods to take a 33-14 lead. Comment?

It was pretty fitting that on a night when Fellowship Christian School celebrated its first 10 years of varsity football that the Paladins posted arguably one of the most-exciting wins ever in school history. Junior defensive back Bo Wynn intercepted a desperation pass in the end zone on the game's last play on Friday, Oct. 10 to seal the come-from-behind 33-28 victory over one of FCS' biggest rivals. Walton has taken the notion of teamwork seriously this season. The Lady Raiders clicked as a team in three of the four sets they played against Roswell in Saturday's finals of the Area 5AAAAAA tournament, and they ended up clinching their fifth straight area title with a 25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 25-12 win at Milton High School.
