    Fellowship Christian Football Players Chosen For All...

    Three players from the Fellowship Christian School varsity football team were chosen for the Region 6A South All Region Team. Additionally, six FCS players made the second team.

    Lions come back strong from losing season

    Only a year after struggling through a 7-19 season, Lovett appears to be back on track. The Lions, only three years removed from their Class AA state championship in 2012, have begun the 2014-15 season on a strong note with a 6-2 overall record - a complete reversal from their 2-6 start in 2013-14 - and a 1-0 mark in Region 6AA.

    Lady Knights still thriving under new coach

    It has been a period of transition early in the 2014-15 season for Centennial's girls' basketball team with new coach Joe Padgett at the helm. Padgett, an assistant coach at Norcross the previous three years, has kept the Lady Knights on the winning track so far with a 7-2 overall record and 4-2 mark in Region 6AAAAAA after going 19-10 and losing in the first round of the Class AAAAAA state playoffs last year..

    Gladiators' Cloy out as head football coach

    After going 1-19 the last two seasons, the Johns Creek Gladiators will have a new head football coach in 2015. Mike Cloy, who started the school's football program in 2009 and guided the Gladiators to a 17-3 regular season record and back-to-back state playoff berths in 2011 and '12, lost his job after back-to-back seasons of 0-10 and 1-9.

    Blessed Trinity loses to Washington County in semis

    Special Photo / Quarterback Conor Davis was among the key players who led Blessed Trinity to the Class AAA state semifinals. Blessed Trinity's bid for the Class AAA state championship came to an end as the Titans lost to Washington County 28-17 in a semifinal game in Sandersville last Friday.

    Male Athlete of the Week-Conor Davis

    It was a memorable season for Blessed Trinity, which went undefeated in the regular season, won the Region 4AAA championship and advanced to the Class AAA state semifinals. Helping the Titans achieve their lofty status was quarterback Conor Davis , whose breakthrough season was a big reason for their success.

    Sheffield again the driving force for Cougars

    The 6-foot-5 senior is one of just a few returning regulars from last season, and he is the Cougars' primary offensive weapon after averaging 27 points a game in 2013-14. Sheffield accounted for a sizeable percentage of the team's scoring last year, but had at least one teammate capable of shouldering some of the offensive load.

    Titans fall to Hawks (again) in AAA semifinals; BT u...

    After reaching the Class AAA quarterfinals and semifinals the past two seasons before losing to Washington County, the Blessed Trinity Titans appear to be positioned to make another deep playoff run next year. Although the Titans will graduate some key seniors - most notably linebacker/tight end Pat Jasinski, a Central Florida commit - they return an even larger group of starters, including three of the team's key offensive skill position players and most of the linemen and defensive regulars.

    Blessed Trinity advances to semifinals for first time

    Staff / Erin Gray / Blessed Trinity fullback Cameron Nolan gains some yardage in the Titans' game with Sequoyah earlier this season. Blessed Trinity is one step away from a possible trip to the Georgia Dome for the state finals after advancing to the semifinals last Friday.
