Johnny Bernhard couldn't contain his excitement Saturday as his pumped his first, clapped and embraced senior pitcher Tyler Ezell almost simultaneously as third baseman Chris Reid was tagging a base-runner for the final out. But Saturday, the Class 4A Warriors held off another perennial Class 5A power, Jesuit , 2-1, behind Ezell and the impressive defense behind him. Comment?

Much of Northshore's 10-2 victory at District 6-5A rival Mandeville on Thursday was in the hands of starting pitcher Missy Clark. In the 10 balls hit right at her, she had seven assists and three putouts in what could be considered as close to a complete game as the Panthers have played in the 2015 season. Comment?
