    Marauders roll past NY

    The senior starter allowed just three hits and struck out 10 over six innings Thursday night while guiding the Meigs baseball team to its second straight win following an 11-1 decision over visiting Nelsonville-York in a Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division matchup in Meigs County. Mattox allowed just one hit and five baserunners through five full innings of work for the host Marauders , which resulted in a comfortable 4-0 cushion headed into the sixth.

    Marauders roll past River Valley, 8-1

    The Meigs baseball team got a complete game two-hitter from sophomore starting pitcher Luke Musser and the Maroon and Gold claimed an 8-1 victory over Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division guest River Valley, which was the home team on the scoreboard. The Marauders scored twice in the top of the first inning to establish the lead, and added on with three runs in the top of the third.

    The Meigs baseball team earned its third win in the last four games on Monday night, defeating Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division guest Wellston, by a 5-4 count in Meigs County. The Marauders fired the opening salvo as Cody Bartrum drove home Christian Mattox in the opening inning.

    The Meigs softball team claimed its fifth victory by 10 or more runs in the last six games Monday night, as the Maroon and Gold handled Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division guest Wellston by a 10-0 final, in five innings in Meigs County. The Lady Marauders didn't waste anytime, as leadoff batter Devyn Oliver doubled and scored just three pitches later on a Brook Andrus double.

The visiting Lady Marauders never trailed in the contest and scored at least once in each of their five innings at the plate, which included a 6-0 advantage through an inning and a half of play.

    Spartans outlast Meigs, 8-5

    It took an extra inning but the Alexander baseball team claimed a 8-5 Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division victory over the host Marauders, Monday night in Meigs County. The Spartans struck first with two runs in the top of the third inning, but Cameron Mattox scored for the Marauders in the bottom of the third, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
