    Baseball notes: A resurgence at the Prep

    Senior leadership, solid defense, and a pair of up-and-coming sophomore hurlers have sparked a major turnaround for the St. Joseph's Prep baseball program. After going 7-13 overall and 4-11 in Catholic League play last season, the Hawks are 15-5 and 9-3 entering a playoff quarterfinal Saturday against Father Judge.

    $10,000 Reward Offered in Shooting that Injured 8-Ye...

    Authorities say a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in an apparent road-rage shooting that injured an 8-year-old girl in West Philadelphia. For the parents of little Aniyah Curry, there's hurt and deep concern over their 8-year-old daughter, who's about to undergo surgery to remove a .22 Caliber bullet from her skull.
