    With Gemil Holbrook netting 18 points and Tony Carr packaging an all-around effort highlighted by 14 points, Roman Catholic pulled away to a 62-45 victory over Philadelphia counterpart Martin Luther King in the PIAA Class AAAA championship game Saturday night at Giant Center. Earlier at Giant Center, LaPri McCray-Pace collected 22 points and Stevie Jordan posted 21 as Conwell-Egan won its first PIAA Class AA boys' hoops title with a 62-51 triumph over Aliquippa.

LaPri McCray-Pace scored 22 points and Stevie Jordan had 21 as Conwell-Egan claimed a 62-51 victory over Aliquippa in the championship game of the PIAA Class AA boys' basketball tournament Saturday.

    PIAA basketball continues to become the Philadelphia...

    With eight of a possible 16 teams being from District 12 this PIAA basketball championship weekend at the Giant Center, there's a whole lot of griping going on among fans whose teams didn't make it to Chocolatetown. Add in the fact that nine schools also are either private, charter or selected-admission institutions and the complaints have built to a crescendo.

Chad Andrews-Fulton added 14 points and 15 rebounds for Rob Moore's Generals , who a season ago captured the PIAA's Class AA title.
