First, Vainisi suffered a dislocated elbow at practice and then Korff went out of Friday's Wheaton North tournament game early in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury ankle. Comment?

A slow start might have marked the first few weeks of the Oswego boys' basketball season, but if the way things are going lately is any indication, the team is heating up at the right time. The Panthers appear to have found a bit of consistency in winning their last three games, including last Friday night's 71-53 decision over the visiting Plainfield Central Wildcats in Southwest Prairie Conference competition. For a second straight year York's 32-team field will dominate the local boys basketball landscape this holiday tournament season. Beyond the Dukes' 41st annual Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament -- featuring 10 DuPage County representatives -- teams will spread out among 12 tournaments from Wheeling to Centralia. Comment?
