    Bay Gets Comeback Win Over NFC Friday

    The Bay Tornadoes are among the area baseball teams taking a little momentum into the district tournament this coming week. The Tornadoes beat visiting North Florida Christian Friday night with a 5 run, 6th inning rally, giving them the one run win, 5-4.

    The three finalists for Player of the Year are invited to our All-Area Stars banquet which will be held on Wednesday, June 3 at Hammond Stadium at 6 p.m. The Player of the Year for every high school varsity sport as well as the overall Male and Female Athletes of the Year will be named during a ceremony that evening. Highlights: Just the seventh player from Lee and Collier counties to reach 2,000 points for his career, Matthews averaged 25 points and nine rebounds during his senior season.
