Mayflower, a team that had been clawed mightily by Wildcats in three straight games this season, came out swinging Thursday in Centennial Bank's 3A boys state championship game. Mayflower doggedly stayed in it and made it a fight to the two minutes in a 57-40 defeat to Episcopal Collegiate , who repeated as state champions and were undefeated against 3A competition this season.
