    Tigers shoot past Wonder Boys

    The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team was unable to overcome the hot shooting of East Central as the Tigers shot 62 percent from the floor in the second half to push to a 78-54 win over the Wonder Boys on Thursday at the Kerr Activities Center. Tech controlled the momentum in the early going as Gary Gaskins scored the first six points, pushing the Wonder Boys out to a 6-2 lead two minutes into the contest.

    Greenwood nabs top Central seed

    The Lady Bulldogs forced 19 turnovers in the first half to build a commanding lead en route to a 60-32 drubbing of Alma in 7A/6A-Central girls action Tuesday at Airedale Arena. "We came out with a lot of intensity, played really hard and shot the ball well," Greenwood Coach Clay Reeves said.

    Mizzou bringing skid to Arkansas

    Missouri is still trying to stop the losing streak Arkansas contributed to when the Razorbacks won 61-60 at Mizzou Arena on Jan. 24. That loss pushed the Tigers' losing streak to five games. Now it's 11 games -- Missouri's worst losing streak in 48 years.

    The last time the Russellville Cyclones played the Panthers, RHS suffered a heartbreaking 49-48 loss. Andy Campbell, who had missed several games prior, made his return against Siloam Springs but missed a game-winning shot on the buzzer.
