    H.S. roundup: Ledyard wins ECC Large volleyball title

    Ledyard High School won the Eastern Connecticut Conference Large Division volleyball championship on Monday with a 25-19, 25-21 and 25-12 victory over Norwich Free Academy. Jenny Nohara had 37 assists for the Colonels while Michelle Klinikowski added 31 kills and four blocks and Mariah Abstetar had 31 digs.

    Shumaker lifts Ledyard to ECC Medium crown

    Montville - Ledyard running back JoJo Shumaker made sure to credit his offensive line for helping him have "a good game on the ground." Shumaker's definition of the word "good" is very different than how most others would explain it, especially taking his Friday night performance into account.

    H.S. soccer: Stonington girls win ECC Medium title

    Sarah Thomas converted a direct kick with just 9 minutes, 18 seconds remaining as Stonington High School defeated Plainfield 1-0 on Friday afternoon to clinch the Eastern Connecticut Conference Medium Division girls' soccer championship. Thomas drilled a perfect 25-yard shot from the right side into the upper-left corner to give the Bears the win and the title.

    Isabelle Moore scored the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute to help lift unbeaten East Lyme past Ledyard, 3-1, on Wednesday and clinch the Eastern Connecticut Conference Large Division girls' soccer title. Ledyard took a quick 1-0 lead on Olivia Holubecki's goal in the ninth minute.
