    Providence - Justin Marceau tripled and scored on a fielder's choice by Ryan Stanford in the seventh inning Saturday as the Fitch High School baseball team edged La Salle Academy 3-2. Kendrick Boss hit a solo home run in the second inning for Fitch and Cam Albin pitched two scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory.

    Cooperstown, N.Y. - Mitch Clapsadle's solo homer run in the bottom of the fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Norwich Tech baseball team to a 3-1 win over Ellis Tech in a Constitution State Conference East Division game played at historic Doubleday Field, which is behind the Baseball Hall of Fame. Steve Seiczkowski's RBI single later in the inning gave the Warriors some breathing room.
