    Football Playoffs: Archer High Favored to Reach Stat...

    The Archer High School football program has made remarkable progress since the school opened in 2009, and if one prediction is accurate, the Tigers will be one step closer to its first state championship. Archer, which drew students from Dacula and Grayson high schools and has students from both communities, hosts Hillgrove Friday in the Georgia High School Association Class 6A quarterfinals.

    Bobcats Remain Undefeated

    The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team most recently swept Dawson County and Forsyth Central to move to 7-0 and remain unbeaten in the early stages of the 2014-15 season. After pounding the Panthers of Union the Bobcats beat all comers at the West Spartan Duals, with wins over Central Gwinnett , Johnson , Loganville , Mountain View and White County .
