    Sophomore guard Courtney Latta scored 17 points and freshman guard Shyan Mwai added 15 as Lowell High defeated visiting Central Catholic, 54-36, in a Merrimack Valley Conference Division 1 girls basketball game on Friday night. Elsewhere, senior forward Catherine Sweeney scored 28 points, including all six of Greater Lowell's points in overtime, as the Gryphons defeated Lowell Catholic, 52-50.
