    Air Force secures commitments from All-Central Texas...

    Vandegrift quarterback Jamie Hudson eludes LBJ defensive lineman Dyquan Howard during a Class 5A, Division I quarterfinal game on Dec. 6. Hudson has announced that he will play college football at Air Force . Vandegrift senior Jamie Hudson announced on Saturday that he had given a verbal commitment to Air Force's football program.

    Bulldogs Enter 2015 with Lofty Ranking

    As the baseball season looms here in Laredo, there is one high school team entering the year with a giant target on their backs. The Alexander Bulldogs go into 2015 as the #2 ranked team in the entire state of Texas at the 6A level according to, trailing only Flower Mounds Marcus High.

    Laredo Teams Top the Standings

    While the baseball season is just around the corner, high school basketball is winding down and for the girls only four district games remain as our local teams try to make the playoffs. Following Tuesday nights action, the Cigarroa girls remain on top of district 29-5A, improving to a perfect 10-0 on the season with their win over Martin.

    Today brought day two of the UISD boys soccer tournament with a number of Laredo teams trying to advance in the gold bracket and bring home the title. In the first quarterfinal game it is all United South as the Panthers pick up two first half goals and cruise to victory over Edcouch-Elsa.
