    The Lake Oswego girls soccer team may be peaking at just the right time as the regular season comes to a close. The Lakers rallied for a 2-2 tie against second-place Tigard last week and then pulled off one of the biggest shockers in the state this year, downing Tualatin 1-0 on Tuesday.

    Wolves stay strong in clash with Lakeridge

    The Timberwolves trailed the Pacers at halftime and they were down just 21-16 in the early part of the third quarter. The Pacers, outscoring Tualatin 28-7 down the stretch, got a 49-23 win over the Timberwolves in a Three Rivers League game played Friday at Tualatin High School.

    Students vote for the homecoming court and the grand marshal of the homecoming parade, and every one of these kids has a story. But three choices reveal an atmosphere of acceptance at LOHS that can't be found just anywhere: Princess Emme Ek's brain tumor is in remission, but it's taken a toll on her, and she has vision, hearing and equilibrium issues; Princess Megan Schiedler is a bright-eyed redhead who has Down syndrome and a smile as big as the sky; and Grand Marshal Katie Brauti survived a head-on collision in November 2013, when she was a passenger in an SUV that collided with a Mercedes.

    Girls soccer picks up big win over Pacers

    It's been a while since something has gone the West Linn girls soccer team's way this season but the Lions picked up a huge victory on Tuesday, its first in league play as it rallied to knock off Lakeridge 2-1 at home. West Linn has struggled to get on track and find its identity this season but the potential has always existed for the team to be a dangerous threat in the TRL and potentially the playoffs.

    Boys soccer team rallies twice to stay unbeaten

    The West Linn boys soccer team kept its TRL unbeaten streak intact Tuesday and remained in sole possession of first place but needed some late-game heroics to do it. The Lions tallied their second straight come-from-behind victory, knocking off Lakeridge 2-1 on the road after getting a goal with less than three minutes to play from Colton Hefty.
