    Apalachee's boys' cross country team entered the 2014 season with hopes of improving upon last year's first ever state meet appearance. The Wildcats did the next best thing to improving on last season as they equaled their 2013 finish by coming in 20th at the state Class AAAAA meet held Saturday at Carrollton High School's course.

    Lady Tigers return several veterans

    Lady Tiger Javaughna Claridy, shown here in a game last season, is one of several returning veterans on this season's team. Last year, a young Bradwell Institute girls' basketball team managed an 8-18 overall record and a 6-8 Region 3-AAAAA mark as Wayne County eliminated the Lady Tigers from the playoffs.

    Young Tiger boys' team up for hoop challenge

    Tiger Kendrick Harris-Bennett is an incoming senior that basketball coach Rhett Hellgren said he is anticipating a good season from. Bradwell Institute boys' basketball coach Rhett Hellgren lost a slew of veteran starters to graduation, but many players who played significant minutes last season return for this season.
