    Punahou powered to its fourth consecutive HHSAA Division I boys volleyball title Saturday night, denying the Warriors in the title game for the third time in four years. The Buffanblu's Micah Maa smacked 26 kills and was named tournament Most Outstanding Player after the 25-23, 25-18, 25-27, 25-13 victory at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.

    Kekai Wong Yuen and Makena Wagner fueled an offensive uprising at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium in Honolulu as Kamehameha-Hawaii's softball team added another feather to its cap. The Warriors already owned a fourth consecutive BIIF title and a first unbeaten league season, and they put a bow on their season Friday with a 14-5 victory against Waimea in the HHSAA third-place, matching the program's best state finish.

    Kamehameha reaches Rainbow stadium

    The Warriors scored five runs in the first, Mykala Tokunaga struck out nine and Kamehameha beat Lanai 8-4 at the HHSAA Division II tournament, becoming the first BIIF team to reach the semifinals since the Warriors did so in 2009. Kamehameha will move down the road in Honolulu to Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium at 1 p.m. Thursday to play either top-seeded Pac-Five or two-time champion Nanakuli.

    Club sports: Founders Cup a hit for Hawaii lacrosse

    It wasn't a football, soccer or even rugby players breaking through the familiar Waimea mists at the Hawaii Preparatory Academy field on Sunday. Instead, it was dozens of Hawaii youth lacrosse athletes who took to the turf to battle in the inaugural Founders Cup.

    Peralta's gem lone bright spot for BIIF at states

    Malu Peralta pitched a gem to get Kamehameha's annual run for the state title off to a good start. The senior right-hander fired 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball, and the Warriors topped Molokai 5-1 at the HHSAA Division II baseball tournament, becoming the only BIIF team to win on Thursday at states.

    The Warriors of Kamehameha-Hawaii claimed their fourth consecutive BIIF crown Saturday morning at Old Airport Park with an 11-1, six inning victory over Kohala in the second game of the Division II championship series. Kohala never threatened the lead in either game.
