    Grants Pass' Easton Bents took the game's opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown, and the host Cavemen never let up, scoring 10 consecutive touchdowns on their way to a 70-14 rout of the visiting South Eugene Axeman Friday. The win clinched the Southwest Conference title for third-ranked Grants Pass , who finishes its regular season next week by hosting Willamette of Eugene.

    No. 2 Grants Pass dominates Roseburg 47-15: recap

    Zachary Hannan, Ben Dean and Keegan Weiss tallied two touchdowns apiece as second-ranked Grants Pass rolled to a 47-15 win over host Roseburg Friday night. The Cavemen showed a balanced attack, with quarterback Javan Appling throwing a touchdown pass and scoring one himself on a four-yard keeper in the first quarter to put Grants Pass up 14-0 after the first quarter.

    The smart money is on Southern Oregon's Eric Thompson to become the Cascade Conference men's basketball player of the year, according to a survey of the circuit coaches who've been dealing with him for three seasons. The 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward was joined by teammate and fellow Roseburg product Tim Weber, a 6-8 senior swingman, on the preseason all-conference team that was released by the league office Wednesday.
