    Beech ousts Lady Devils from 9-AAA tourney

    Beech eliminated Lebanon from the District 9-AAA loser's bracket with a 12-2 victory in five innings Wednesday at Wilson Central. The Lady Devils ended a 12-15 season while Beech advanced to today's 5 p.m. game against the Station Camp-Hendersonville winner from last night.

    Millay's 11th-inning double lifts Lebanon 3-2

    Jake Millay doubled home Jackson Arnold with the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning Friday to lift Lebanon past Gallatin 3-2 in the District 9-AAA tournament at Drakes Creek Park. Arnold singled and scored on Millay's hit to left-center field to lift Lebanon to 19-12 for the season and into today's 2 p.m. winner's bracket game between the winner of last night's late game between Station Camp and host Hendersonville.

    Friendship back in winner's circle

    Friendship Christian won so many district championships over a quarter-century span the Lady Commanders sort of took them for granted. Winning the East-Middle District 1-A title in just their second season in Division II was something to celebrate for the players, who, instead of Gatorade, sprayed their coaches with silly string after their 3-2 win over King's Academy on Friday evening.

    Wilson Central finds itself in the Mt. Juliet bracket for the District 9-AAA tournament while Lebanon will have to go through Hendersonville to advance to region play.

    Bears blanked by Bison

    Station Camp scored late and often while Mt. Juliet failed to score at all as the host Bison took a 6-0 District 9-AAA victory Thursday night.
