    Katerina Stewart of Coral Gables wins USTA Pro Circu...

    In an all-Florida final at the USTA Pro Circuit Gainesville $10,000 Women's Tennis Tournament, top-seeded Katerina Stewart of Coral Gables outlasted qualifier Sofia Kenin of Pembroke Pines 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to win her first USTA Pro Circuit title of 2015. The 17-year-old Stewart was not challenged until the semifinals, when in three sets she defeated No.4 seed Katerina Kramperova of the Czech Republic, who beat her in last year's Gainesville final.

    As Florida State moves closer to securing a neutral-site game with Alabama to open the 2017 season, the Seminoles now are in the beginning stages of working on a deal to play Auburn the next year. The Alabama game, as first reported four months ago by the Palm Beach Post, would open the season and be played in Atlanta.
