    It took the Chargers a little longer to get going Friday in their 41-21 win over Flint Powers Catholic , but in the end the result was the same and the way it happened - business-like, convincing and diverse - even more impressive. We already knew Dow had a reputation for lighting up the scoreboard, and by the end of the game Friday it lived up to its billing, but the way it transpired is what makes this team so dangerous.

    Bay City Central 63, Flint Northwestern 34: Wolves c...

    After getting torched for 265 yards and 22 points in the opening half including a Hail Mary touchdown with one second left the Wolves clamped down right from the start after halftime and delivered a 63-34 victory on homecoming at Elmer Engel Stadium. Central's offense was clicking throughout the Saginaw Valley League contest, with quarterback Dominic Zanotti looking sharp through the air and Jarred Brown and Devonte Mysliwski running hard.

    Midland Dow 41, Flint Powers Catholic 21: Dow flexes...

    No. 8 ranked Dow rolled over the Chargers 41-21 on Friday at Holy Redeemer Field in Burton, improving its record to 5-0 and dropping Powers Catholic to 3-2 on the season. Senior quarterback Alec Marty threw for 331 yards on 21-of-27 passing and three touchdowns in the first half to help Dow to a 34-13 halftime lead.

    Flint football stars: Dominic Weiss runs Fenton to 5...

    Dominic Weiss, Fenton - The senior running back rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns in Fenton's 43-2 win over Flint Kearsley on Friday, Sept. 26. Weiss, who rushed 44 yards the week before against Ortonville-Brandon, scored Fenton's first touchdown to put the Tigers up 7-0.
