    Friday's prep soccer results

    Toby Stansell knocked in the first goal for the Bulldogs in the 45th minute off an assist from Roko Bedalov. Bedalov scored a goal of his own on a penalty kick resulting from a foul against Stansell, and leads the team with 13 goals and six assists.

    M-P advances to winner-to-state game

    After losing the second round of the 3A district tournament to Lynnwood 3-0 May 12, the Marysville-Pilchuck baseball team earned its chance to play a winner-to-state game against Ferndale Saturday, May 16, at Memorial Field in Everett as they defeated Oak Harbor 7-2 in a loser-out game May 13. Oak Harbor scored its only two runs in the first inning. M-P broke that deficit at the bottom of the first scoring three runs and never looked back.

    Oak Harbor earns 1 win in opening day of North meet ...

    John Rodeheffer won the boys 1,600-meter run to pace the Oak Harbor High School track teams on the first day of the Wesco North 3A divisional meet Wednesday, May 13, at Wildcat Memorial Stadium. The Eagle boys ran up 105 points, followed by Everett , Oak Harbor , Marysville-Pilchuck , Stanwood and Marysville Getchell .

    Runners honor Archbishop Murphy student's memory wit...

    A little more than two weeks from now, Archbishop Murphy's Kristi Bartz was expected to challenge for a 2A state championship in the 800 meters. Wednesday's 2A Sub-District meet at Cedarcrest High School was to be the first of several steps in the postseason to accomplish that goal.
