    Oak Harbor no-hit by Everett | Softball

    Everett's Erin Gordon shutout the Oak Harbor High School softball team with a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Seagulls to a 10-0 win Friday, March 27, at Lincoln Field. Gordon used an effective change-up to baffle the Wildcats, according to Oak Harbor coach Todd Showalter.

    Matt Williams recorded a hat trick and an assist in Archbishop Murphy's shutout victory over Sultan in a Cascade Conference game Friday. Brian Henderson and Kenny Ficklin combined for the shutout in net for the Wildcats.

    Prep boys soccer: Mariner 2, Kamiak 1

    Mariner needed 10 seconds of overtime to defeat Kamiak in a Wesco 4A match Friday. The overtime goal came from a Diego Casillas cross that Elmer Delgado put into the back of the net from 15 yards out to seal the victory for the Marauders.

    Skyline soccer team opens season with scoreless tie

    The scoreless tie that Skyline and Archbishop Murphy recorded in their season-opening boys soccer match March 19 wasn't indicative of the level of play on the field. Both teams had goal-scoring chances that weren't converted, and while host Skyline was disappointed not to win, coach Don Braman and his players also knew they could've lost to a talented opponent that has made six straight state-playoff appearances.

But in the end, star pitcher Sophie Frost got the Timberwolves out of their game Monday with a win, as Jackson held on to defeat Lynnwood 7-5 in a non-conference game at Lynnwood High School.
