    Nope, for the second consecutive season, the Pioneers figured to be a nice, strong team, but not quite state-championship caliber. They were seeded second for the state tournament for the second consecutive year, a nice tribute to be sure, but not the favorite'S tag typically reserved for a defending champion.

    First-time entrants Eastview and Buffalo were responsible for 40 busloads of supporters that attended the girls hockey state tournament Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center. Eastview, a public school in Apple Valley, brought 15 buses and more than 700 students.
