    When the GISA Class AAA Final Four gets under way next Thurs- day in Macon, The Heri- tage School will be right there in the thick of things in the state basketball tournament. But for nearly three quarters on Friday at home, it looked like like the Lady Hawks were going to have to buy a ticket if they wanted admission to next week's action at the Mercer University basketball arena.

    It might have been for third place, but The Heritage School and Trinity Christian played Saturday's GISA Region 1-AAA boys consolation game as if there was a trophy attached to it. After exchanging several leads in the second half, Heritage staved off a final charge from Trinity to pull out a 44-43 win.

    Heritage, Trinity girls set up clash for region title

    The final day of the GISA Region 1-AAA basketball tournament will give Coweta County rivals at least one more chance at facing each other on the court. Girls lineups from both The Heritage School and Trinity Christian advanced to the 1-AAA championship game after winning respective semifinal games on Friday at Dominion Christian.
