    Receiver J.J. Koski caught eight passes for 187 yards, including two scores, and threw the game-winning touchdown to lead San Ramon Valley to a 21-17 comeback victory over host Amador Valley. Amador Valley had built a 14-0 lead in the second quarter behind touchdown runs from Ledre McCullough and Ronnie Jones.

    Oakland Unified School District spokesman Troy Flint told Chronicle columnist Chip Johnson that McClymonds quarterback Kevin Davidson has been ruled ineligible for the rest of the football season. The OUSD suspended Davidson, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound junior who had thrown for more than 1,100 yards and 16 touchdowns in four games, for last week's game versus Sonoma Valley while it investigated residential issues.

    Ruben Mercado and Isaiah Langley combined for 164 yards of offense, three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions in their only half of action to lead the Foothill High football team to a 51-0 win over Livermore on Oct. 3. Mercado and Langley were assisted by their quarterback, SMU-bound Kyle Kearns, who finished with 164 yards and for touchdowns on 10-of-12 passing despite only playing in the first two quarters. Most of Foothill's starting units only played in the first half, building a 42-point lead at intermission.
